I wonder how much and how quickly the media will distort this?

  2. Kathy Causey says:

Thanks for posting the speech. I was unable to watch it live, and had difficulty finding anything but the transcript, so I am thrilled to have found it. I loved it, I loved the delivery, and the ideals President Obama is fighting to uphold. Not one generation against another, or one state or belief against another.
To appreciate and nurture our culture, unfolding history, commitment to investment in our future and our people. The challenge to find a way to soar high, to shine at home, and in the world. Thank-you for always reassuring me, President Obama, that we will recover, and we will continue to be deserving of the patriotism we feel.

  3. Edward Yellig says:

I always enjoy listening to President Obama. He is well-spoken and inspiring. I would have preferred more details, such as which cuts he would recommend for the military.
I would like to see him become more aggressive while confronting the destructive intentions of the Republican Party leadership.
I suppose that this was a scanning type of speech introducing us to his thoughts about the changes he thinks are needed. He certainly has somewhat of a roadmap from the successes of the 90’s collaboration between the White House and the Congress to accomplish reductions of the deficit. I hope he is as successful as they were but I am not optimistic with the drastic cuts that conservatives are proposing.
Good luck, Mr. President! Ned Yellig

Obama is Full of S**t. He will not keep any of his promises, just like he was going to bring all of our troops home, right? Right! And now we’re in a 3rd war in Libya. And he really believes taxing only the rich is really gonna work. It has NEVER worked in any other country and it won’t work here either. And if you believe this crap, then you’re just as dumb as he is. WAKE UP PEOPLE!

“Obama is Full of S**t. He will not keep any of his promises, just like he was going to bring all of our troops home, right”

clearly you paid NO attention t candidate Obama. Candidate Obama made it clear we were going to be stuck in Afghanistan for a long time and he wouldn’t hesitate to use military force when it was absolutely necessary. Also you seem to be paying very little attention to Lybia… which is mostly being handled by France.

If you voted for Obama because you thought he was going to end war, you are an uninformed hippie.

“I always enjoy listening to President Obama. He is well-spoken and inspiring.”

Indeed, our President is still giving *good speeches*. Apparently, this is essential to some and is, no doubt, on which most liberals based their vote. But to others, his words have the substance of a Granfaloon…

“If you wish to study a granfalloon, just remove the skin of a toy balloon.” — Bokonon (K. Vonnegut-Cat’s Cradle)
BTW- Vonnegut was pretty damn liberal.

Yes, it’s happy hour at the Miscreant ranch.
