“If Bush were known for exquisite subtlety in his use of the language, I’d note that a horizon is, by definition, a line that can never be reached.” - Eugene Robinson
I’m curious about when people bitch, “If (so-and-so) wins, I’m moving out of the country!” To me, the best follow up is, “What reasons make you say that? What would impel you to run away from (so-and-so)?”
Geek, not crtisizing you, but bringing attention to that comment that so many seem to make without justification. A pet peeve for many, many years.
Been there, done that, it is heartbreaking when you give your all and lose. Don’t hold her to anything she says tonight. She’s a campaign junkie and I’ll bet she gets behind whoever we nominate, after a cooling off period.
I’ve been through that pain in my life, too (I was raised on campaigns - thanks Mom…or damn you Mom - haven’t decided which yet). While there is a huge sting, that particular comment in general is quite revealing and in Geek’s interview, it came across as quite damning.
Thanks for this Geek! This is awesome, and for somebody who is older than dirt I am simply amazed by what this technology can do. Thanks for spending the money to have the equipment and thanks for sharing it with us. You are a citizen journalist and you are making a difference. I don’t think the Obama momentum of the past couple of weeks would have been possible without people like you and Jason and Don. You Rock!
It was a rush. I’ll try to get a full report out later today. Suffice to say that I am wiped out. Got to bed at 2:30AM but was so pumped that I could barely sleep. Up at 7:30 and at work by 9.
I appreciate that comments. It makes the whole thing worthwhile.
