Fiskered Out

Will Fisker ever build a single car in Delaware? If I were a betting man, I’d put my money into the Powerball before I plunked down speculative dollars on the Fisker Atlantic.

Uninspiring GOP candidates drive the party into statewide obscurity

State GOP chairman John Sigler said, “We have a lot of work to do but we’ve accomplished an awful lot.” What exactly did they accomplish, and how long before they win back the trust of big donors in the party still miffed about Christine O’Donnell?

Big Idea Wednesday: Monster Mile Per Gallon

Filed in Delaware by on August 8, 2012 23 Comments

Twice a year, Dover Downs is the home of NASCAR races. As a guy that owns two hybrids and tries to be a good environmental citizen, I am appalled by the senseless waste of tires, oil, gas that goes on through the various qualifiers and races that go on throughout the weekend. But I get […]

Congratulations All Around for Fisker

The press conference/Pep rally for the announcement that the Boxwood Rd. auto plant has just concluded. We will now refer to the plant as the Fisker plant. I am still in a state of shock. It was a tour de force of Delaware politicos. Huge kudos are in order for Governor Markell for his attention to this issue and for putting together this event. Getting Joe Biden was the perfect touch.

As many of you know Vice President Joe Biden and Gov. Jack Markell will be at the Boxwood plant this morning to announce the Fisker deal. As the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote, “Delaware appears to be an early winner in the nation’s green-car movement . . .” According to Fisker, they will  probably bring some 1,500 […]
