So now we’re the country that kills 7 year old girls in custody

So now we’re the country that kills 7 year old girls in custody

It isn’t just the cruelty.  It is the cavalier “we don’t give a fuck” attitude that makes us a country of monsters.  I don’t know if the Brittish in India were this bad.  At least they pretended to have some higher calling.  Christianity and civilization pushing darkness and savagery off the world’s stage, and all that. […]

Chris Coons Must Disassociate Himself From the National “Prayer” Breakfast

In 1953, President Dwight Eisenhower began the tradition of the National Prayer Breakfast.  Whatever benign purpose it was founded to serve, it has morphed into something far from benign.   It is now a nexus of anti-American criminal activity.   A nexus of anti-American criminal activity that Senator Chris Coons Co-Chairs.   Now that Maria Butina has […]

Trump Resigns. Mike Pence, Sworn in by Justice John Roberts, Now 46th President of the United States

..is not a headline we will ever read.   In spite of the rapidly deteriorating legal position, Trump will not resign.   His office is the only thing shielding him from indictment and prosecution.  He can no more give it up than he could give up breathing,

Can Delaware Dems Repeat 2018 Success in 2020? Part 2

Can Delaware Dems Repeat 2018 Success in 2020? Part 2

How many seats will Democrats pick up in 2020? Republican incumbents will benefit from John Carney’s leadership. Because bi-partisanship is seen as a virtue above all virtues, John Carney will do everything he can to make the remaining Republicans seem like a viable political party and “a trusted partner in governing.” Also, as astonishing as it is to you and me in the age of Trump, there is a lot of collegiality and protecting fellow members of the incumbent club in Leg Hall. We saw that this year as dumb-fuck Democrats rallied around the campaign finance criminal Mike Ramone, and the execrable* Greg Lavelle.

Additionally, the low hanging fruit has been picked. So it will be difficult for Democrats to repeat the success of 2018. Difficult, but not impossible.

While Dems only have one slam-dunk pickup in 2020 (Cloutier SD5), there are factors that point to another potential Blue Wave in Delaware.

John Carney’s weak leadership aside, the Delaware Democratic Party is on the move. Chairman ERS, and Executive Director Jesse Chadderdon …

Can Delaware Dems Repeat 2018 Success in 2020? Part 1

With the help of the crazy man-baby in the White House, Delaware Democrats TROUNCED Delaware Republicans in 2018. But can they keep the momentum rolling in 2020? While some factors point to continuing Dem pickups, other factors will make it difficult for Dems to keep the flywheel turning.

Making pickups an uphill fight for Democrats is the fact that there are far fewer targets of opportunity for Democrats in 2020. In New Castle County only Michael Smith, Jeff Spiegelman, Kevin Hensley, and Mike Ramone remain in the house.

Ramone has been exposed for the fraud and crumb-bumb that he is. I’d rate him as beatable. After that, it looks like …

A Brexit Post

Like all Americans, I don’t pay much attention to Not America. But I know enough about Brexit to know the Brittish fucked themselves out of shortsighted-racist-old-white-guy-malice. This tweet seems to sum it up: Hugo Rifkind ✔ @hugorifkind Replying to @hugorifkind The thing is, the best way to understand Theresa May’s predicament is to imagine that […]

Jail Time for Pharma Price Fixing? Don’t Make Me Laugh

David Anderson writing at Balloon Juice has the late stage capitalism laugh of the day. The Washington Post has a blockbuster on collusion between generic drug manufacturers: Executives at more than a dozen generic-drug companies had a form of shorthand to describe how they conducted business, insider lingo worked out over steak dinners, cocktail receptions […]

Coons’ Prayer Breakfast Confidant Plea Deal Disclosed

Coons’prayer breakfast confidant, Maria Butina, conspired with a Russian government official “and at least one other person” for Butina to act as an unregistered foreign agent. ABC News obtained a copy of the plea agreement and published excerpts of it Monday. A court filing earlier Monday suggested a plea agreement was imminent. Federal investigators have […]

Class Unconsciousness

Trump, of course, is an asshole. But I don’t get the wage slave anglo manager in this story. He heaps abuse on workers like he has more in common with Trump than he has with the workers.

I’m here to tell you Bruv, aside from melanin you don’t have shit in common with Trump.

Time Travel and Its Discontents

Filed in National by on December 8, 2018 0 Comments

There have been a few high profile court cases, and a great deal of public debate recently dealing with time travel. Is it real, or an elaborate and lucrative hoax? According to Dr. Barbara Engle and Dr. Willet St. John, the Cal Poly research team who in 2018 famously figured out how to send fragments […]

Ammon Bundy has more integrity than Ken Simpler. …Ammon Fucking Bundy.

Ammon Bundy has more integrity than Ken Simpler. …Ammon Fucking Bundy.

Ken Simpler would still be Delaware’s Treasurer if he had a portion of Ammon Bundy’s integrity.

Ammon Bundy, the rancher at the center of a 2016 standoff with the government at an Oregon wildlife preserve, said he is leaving the militia movement after criticizing President Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric.

Bundy shut down his social media accounts and announced that he was stepping away from “patriot groups,” BuzzFeed News reported Thursday.

He said the decision comes after he faced fierce backlash for opposing Trump’s attacks on a caravan of migrants.

“It’s like being in a room full of people in here, trying to teach, and no one is listening,” he told the outlet. “The vast majority seemed to hang on to what seemed like hate, and fear, and almost warmongering, and I don’t want to associate myself with warmongers.”

Bundy said it was “incorrect” for Trump to characterize the group of Central American migrants traveling toward the U.S. as “all criminal.”

“To group them all up like, frankly, our president has done — you know, trying to speak respectfully — he has basically called them all criminals and said they’re not coming in here. … It seems that there’s been this group stereotype,” Bundy said in a video posted to Facebook.

White Privilege Sentencing

White Privilege Sentencing

If these convicted Wilm Trust criminals had been caught with $5.00 of weed on them while being black, they’d be headed to jail for sure.

There’s no guarantee that four former executives of the only financial institution to be criminally charged in connection with the federal bank bailout program will be sentenced to prison for fraud.

But even if a judge orders prison time for the former Wilmington Trust officials at their sentencings later this month, they won’t be led away in handcuffs.
