Various Degrees of Fucked Up’edness

Various Degrees of Fucked Up’edness

When your Grandpa watches too much Fox News and decides to hate Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and “liberals” with a white hot hatred – that’s fucked up, but more or less harmless. Except at Thanksgiving, when too many drinks can combine with too little to do for explosive (but localized) mayhem.

When FBI agents working out of the New York office collectively watch too much Fox News, have personal relationships with wingnut members of congress, and decide to hate Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and “liberals” with a white hot hatred – that’s really fucked up. Allowing the FBI to become partisan was James Comey’s biggest failure among many failures.

Brexit and the Russia connection

Russia under Putin has been openly trying to undermine and disrupt the “North Atlantic Alliance.” It has done so by supporting unqualified, destabilizing idiots like Trump for office, and by supporting destablizing policies, such as Britain’s exit from the Eupean Union, known as Brexit. These are known facts. Not even you crazy wingnut, Fox News loving […]

Carper’s Senate record is catching up with him

Sen. Tom Carper’s 9 point decline in popularity is no doubt an outworking of the fact that the voters finally have an alternative. (How about giving KEH a little thanks for putting the spotlight on Senator Do-Nothing?) The eight senators with the biggest declines last quarter — a net drop of 9 points or more […]

Trump’s Propaganda Video is Total Shit

Filed in National by on June 12, 2018 3 Comments

The video Trump showed to Kim to kick off their meeting is a hacked together collection of corporate stock video clips accompanied by a cheesy voice over intended to play to Kim’s vanity and greed. But who knows? Maybe those are the right buttons to push with Kim.

What percentage of the military would join Trump’s side in a coup against the constitution?

What percentage of the military would join Trump’s side in a coup against the constitution?

For all the hooey and bluster by #MAGA idiots like Rudy Guliani, if Trump decides to attempt a full blown coup against the constitution, the number of people joining him in that coup would be vanishingly small. Furthermore, the number of people in the military (from the lowest recruit, to the Joint Chiefs) would be […]

Trump Math…. Steel + Racism = Michigan

Trump Math…. Steel + Racism = Michigan

While Trump unzipped his pants and showed Canada (and his fans) his big dick on tariffs, his TV host/economic advisor Larry Kudlow disclosed that the US is getting close to a trade deal with China that will further lower barriers to the importation of Chinese materials such as slave labor steel, and child work camp soccer balls. Huzzah! Great deal making.

Anyway, I’ll amend my question from another thread that was roundly ignored.

If it is accurate to say that pretending to be on the side of the coal miner and steel worker, while leveraging white racism is the GOP’s response to working poor/ blue-collar economic anxiety and declining prospects, what is the Democratic Party’s response to working poor/ blue-collar economic anxiety and declining prospects?

I’m seriously asking – what is it?

And I think the answer from Dems might be – “We don’t need steel workers. We can retrain them to be computer programmers.”

Democrats have no answer for Trump because they have no core values

Nothing new here. It has all been said a million times. I just wanted to type that headline. The truth of it keeps rolling around in my head. I mean, have you ever seen such a sad sack bunch of hapless losers? Pitiful. A clear set of core values sure would make elections easier for […]

First Lit Review of the Season: Jim Ryan – 9th RD Dem Primary

Very solid door knocker lit from Jim Ryan who is in a primary in the 9th to face a tough but beatable incumbent in Kevin Hensley. With a nice family shot backed by a Union/Blue Collar pic, Ryan’s gets a big bang for his buck with this introductory material going out to Dem households likely […]

ho, hum…Trump brazenly lies…just another day

Attorney General Jeff Sessions flagged a new immigration policy in a speech earlier this month, when he pledged to criminally prosecute as many illegal border crossing cases “as humanly possible.” “If you are smuggling a child, then we will prosecute you and that child will be separated from you as required by law,” Sessions said.
