Song Of The Day: Nov. 14, 2018

Saturday, June 7, 2008 was an ungodly sweltering evening. The weather killed walk-up sales for Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express, whose performance that night at the Arden Gild Hall was every bit as torrid as the weather. During this song late in the set, a fuse (or something) blew, and the audience sang the chorus until George Brocklesby saved the day:

After the show, the band was invited to cool off in the Arden Pool which, perhaps is why the band voted the Arden Gild Hall as their favorite venue of 2008. Still one of my favorite shows.
