And Now For a Little Comic Relief

The conservative dirty tricksters who tried to frame Robert Mueller went ahead with their news conference at the ultra-swanky Roslyn, Va., Holiday Inn even though — surprise! — the woman they say they represent didn’t show. Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl claimed Wednesday night that their accuser arrived in Washington but boarded a flight out again because she feared for her life, lowering the expectations from “farce” to “travesty,” but they soldiered on, even going so far as to claim that the “circus atmosphere” around their location — which consisted of an inflatable Trump rat — was the cause of the no-show.
TPM reporter Tierney Snead live-tweeted the news conference, and it’s a hoot if you enjoy clueless would-be black-ops guys babbling excuses to the press. For you Watergate old-timers, imagine Gordon Liddy and Howard Hunt summoning reporters to explain themselves and you’re near the bulls-eye.

The fake company they set up is Surefire Intelligence:

“But Surefire Intelligence is linked to Wohl in numerous ways, including domain records and a company phone that redirects to a number registered to Wohl’s mother.”

The website listed the COO as Zurich based and there was a photo of the actor Christoph Waltz.

    Stranger Than Fiction.

I think you mean Dumber Than Fiction. It plays like an Armando Ianucci production with more slapstick elements. I see big things in marketing the rat.

  2. Beach Comer says:

Surefire Intelligence, LLC. Another Delaware shell.
