  1. RE Vanella says:

    Very good. Excellent, even.

I actually listened to some Clash over weekend after Beto O’Rourke told the debate audience in TX that Ted Cruz is working for the clampdown.

As I leftist and a cynic I wanted to shit on Beto as more neo-lib trash. But I’m warming up to the guy.

  2. I saw the Clash three times. First time was at a small venue called Bond Theatre International in NYC. Place was so oversold that it got shut down the following week. If there had been a fire, we all would have perished. The opener was, wait for it, Grandmaster Flash. Got booed off the stage. New York audiences are so bleeping overrated.

Back then the Clash didn’t so much write songs as they wrote anthems. Everybody there sang along and pumped fists to ‘I’m So Bored With The USA’, ‘White Riot’, and ‘Hammersmith Palace’.
