Complete fucking lowlife, Donald Trump Jr, impugns Carper
“You admitted to hitting your wife so hard it gave her a black eye,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote in a tweet he later retweeted.
Trump Jr. was referring to an incident in the early 1980s in which Carper slapped his now late-wife Diane.
I wonder how Carper’s program of “building bridges” and working with the Administration is going?
Here’s what Lyin’ Tom had to say about this, emphasis mine, in a statement to 105.9 FM (notice he still won’t talk about it, he had to issue a statement):
“I have made many mistakes in my life, and have always been willing to admit them. One of those mistakes took place 37 years ago when I slapped my then-wife, Diane, during a heated argument,” Carper said. “It was wrong. I regretted it then and I still do today. During a child custody battle between Diane and her former husband, I was truthful about this incident. I was truthful again when asked about it during a 1998 interview.”
This is a goddamn lie. He lied about it in his 1982 congressional race and only “admitted” it when confronted with the deposition he’s referring to above.
And still not a word from Kirsten Gillibrand, explaining why Carper’s “slap” is OK but Franken’s butt-grabbing is not. Nor from any women’s group in Delaware.
They ought to rename us The Kiss-Ass State.

I take a dim view of people who want to discuss my reaction to events rather than to events themselves. I also take a dim view of people who like to divine the motivations of other people. All they’re doing is projecting their own.
