Kerri Harris is speaking to a group at the Bellefonte Cafe. 50 voters off the street and on the porch. The candidate has taken 90 minutes of questions. At 7:30 it’s still very hot/humid. Nobody leaves, and someone brings out more chairs. A voter who’s not in the Bellefonte Cafe demographic listens.

She describes herself as a millennial. She is with her daughter aged maybe 10. Daughter says that she is into social studies. Wants to be UN Sec General. They both listen as Kerri speaks for nearly 2 hours…”Totally sold” she said afterwards.

Kerri speaks to the daughter a bit. A Photo is taken: Mom, Future UN Sec General & Delaware’s next Senator. All smiles.

    Bunch makes a great point. Win or lose, the Delaware Democratic Party that harbors Republicans is over.

    After spending time on the campaign trail in Delaware, I wasn’t yet fully convinced that Harris could pull that huge upset, but I was certain that the Democratic Party of Carper and Joe Biden’s 20th Century is fading fast, with the party’s base now openly questioning all of the things — curbs on marijuana and the cost of “the war on drugs,” long prison sentences, militarism in the Middle East and unfettered capitalism — that were once not to be questioned.

    Fuck Carper, Coons, Schwartzkopf , and Schott. Fuck all the undercover Republicans in the party of Roosevelt and fuck the go-along-to-get-along lickspittles that harbor them. (Mitch)
