DL Endorses Tizzy Lockman, Nnamdi Chukwuocha And Sean Lynn For General Assembly

Delaware Liberal endorses two newcomers and one fearless progressive incumbent in their respective primaries.

Rep. Sean Lynn is a progressive treasure in Dover. Name the issue and he fights on behalf of those who the Delaware Way insiders routinely ignore.  He remains impervious to the pervasive good ol’ boys’ culture that permeates Leg Hall. He doesn’t hesitate to endorse and campaign on behalf of progressive candidates like Kerri Harris and Chris Johnson. If you like John Kowalko, you should strongly support his downstate soulmate as he seeks reelection in RD 31. We do, and we do.

Tizzy Lockman has run one of the best grassroots legislative campaigns that I have ever seen.  An unfailingly positive campaign. She has demonstrated throughout her campaign an incisive inclusiveness that bodes well for the immediate impact she can have in Dover.  Under other circumstances, Jordan Hines would be worthy of consideration, and it’s not a reflection on him that he is not our choice.  Lockman has demonstrated the potential to shake up an ossified D Caucus.  A caucus, BTW, that is changing, and may well experience a seismic shift in 2020. She is prepared not only to serve, but to lead.  And she is the best choice for SD 3, the most diverse senatorial district in the State.

“Sometimes you add by subtracting.” Those words from former major league manager Gene Mauch certainly apply to the contest for the 1st Rep. District seat, currently held by the ethically-challenged Charles Potter.  What a family. Charles, Velda and former mayor Dennis P. Williams. Feeding at the public trough only begins to tell their story. The other part of the story is ineptitude. You know, stuff like this. And the entire mayoralty of Dennis P. Williams.  Oh, and votes that don’t represent his constituency. Like his vote against marriage equality. Nnamdi Chukwuocha represents a step up from Potter.  No, not necessarily someone who will reform Dover. But someone free of the stench of the Potters and with a strong background in social work.  Based on his Twitter page, he is running an aggressive campaign, and he has a lot of endorsements, which can be both a plus and a minus. Gotta say it’s surprising to see both Senators McDowell and Henry endorsing a challenger.  The momentum appears to be with him.  Keep it going and send Charles Potter back to the private sector.

  1. Delaware Stonewall PAC says:

At least we agree on these three races.

  2. Jason330 says:

I hope that means Stonewall PAC is giving the money earmarked for Dempublicans like Carper to actual Democrats

    • Delaware Stonewall PAC says:

Stonewall does not contribute to federal campaigns. Every endorsed candidate running for state offices received a contribution.

      • RE Vanella says:

It wasn’t a real question, dipshit. Thought maybe the “Dempublican” was the tell. You folks are so pedantic and officious.

“Well, bylaw 12.1 (b) states we need a quorum the first Wednesday after the filing deadline….”

You nerds are the worst. Way to bow to state power! Now that Mitch has made all his friends.

  3. RE Vanella says:

As to the endorsements, lest anyone think there’s any dissent on our team… There isn’t.

Tizzy – Agree (on the ballot as S Elizabeth Lockman!)
    Sean Lynn – Agree
    Nnamdi – AGREE!

  4. Kelly says:

I hope Nnami kicks the shit out of Potter. He is so aragant and narcissistic. He is on the Judiciary Committee and then throw 2 Judges under the bus. Then he had the nerve to talk bad about the Catholic Faith. What goes around comes around. After he looses then we go after his wife.

    • RE Vanella says:

Well the Catholics are on a quick slide into oblivion. Is there and good to say about it? Not really.

      But yeah, Potter is garbage.

  5. RE Vanella says:

    One last thing on this.

Mitch. You want to meet me still? Tell me your story. I’m available. Send your contact info via the Tip Line and the guys will get it to me.

I have something to tell you too.

  6. Kelly says:

Go on Delawareonline there is a good article on the city finance about the City Treasure office. She got to go.
