Delaware GOP No Longer Has An AG Candidate

Filed in Delaware, Featured by on August 13, 2018

Not surprising since I doubt that anyone can remember they had an AG candidate. For the record, her name is/was Peggy Marshall Thomas. In announcing that she was dropping out,  she asked “the media to ‘respect her privacy’.”  No problem, Peggy.

The R’s have until Sept. 4 to name someone to replace her on the ballot, assuming that she officially withdraws.  Doesn’t matter, though. Whoever wins the D primary will win the general election.

With the Dem statewide registration advantage – the Dem primary is the election anyway.

Most DE Republicans live in New Castle County. Even so, there are now more Independents in New Castle than Republicans.

Third party status has been achieved.

  3. Article doesn’t mention that the next candidate would be at least the 4th R to announce for AG. You had Tom Neuberger, and before him, you had the pro-pot guy who appeared on a cable show with James Spadola.

The State GOP sucks so bad that NOT EVEN Roze Izzo is willing to associate herself with them any more.

I suspect they already had the name and didn’t want to be bothered with a primary like with the Auditors race. Why leave the decision up to those pesky voters?
