Carper Campaign Propped Up By Out of State Corporations and Oligarchs
A constellation of corporations and groups outside Delaware has showered support on millionaire, Tom Carper throughout his career.
In return for those efforts, oligarchs based in Wall Street, Geneva, Shanghai, Cypress and Moscow hope to retain Carper’s reliable vote in the Senate. Beyond a simple vote though, Carper provides a valuable service to his out of state paymasters. Constantly frustrating Democratic unity and undermining policies that support working Delawareans has been a boon to his corporate constituents.
Some of these corporations and oligarchs “legally” reside on 1209 North Orange street in Wilmington, however, the keeper of the PO box in which they purportedly reside has refused to comment on Carper’s vast out of state support network.
Another way is possible. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can have a representative that represents people rather than shadowy capital interests.
The option is available and the difference is clear.

Are you surprised? Carper had a For Sale sign on his head from day one. Then again so do the rest of them.
Carper is Clinton w/o the charisma. They both shared the same philosophy: Make the Democratic Party safe for the big corporate interests. Carper had the good political fortune to make his political ascent at the same time that Delaware ceded the legislative process to the credit card banks.
In fact, Carper (correctly) jettisoned the petty corruption of NCC party boss Gene Reed (think shoeboxes full of money) for the corporate-sanctioned corruption of the banks, Big Pharma and the chemical companies that ran the state. That Jimmy Cagney movie title sums it up best: “Never Steal Anything Small”.
If he’s not liberal enough for you liberals , who is? Basically I prefer no dems. Vote them out of office.

The one thing the liberals and conservatives have in common is that neither see race and both have a visceral reaction to “identity politics”. I’m not sure that a minority candidate can win without consolidating support in minority communities like Obama did in 2008 and LBR did in 2016. That doesn’t mean that you don’t have a big tent or that you don’t talk to every voter, but you have to have that base of support. I’m not seeing this from the Harris campaign. You wouldn’t even know that she was a black woman unless you showed up to an event and asked the person next to you. This is the first black woman to run for the US senate in DE, but I’m not getting the same vibe from the black community like we saw from Lisa’s campaign. Can a black candidate win a Democratic primary in Delaware without actively and intentionally consolidating support in the black community? Anthony Brown (D) in Maryland had this problem which led to Larry Hogan (R) winning in Maryland; a state that’s 1/3 African American.
