Yeah we’re fucked. fascism just won. Perhaps it’s time for liberals to rethink their stance on the Second Amendment.

I actually agree with that one. I don’t like that these places exist, but a law forcing them to tell people about abortion availability seems a pretty clear case of government overreach to me. You can’t decide matters of law based on intent alone.

Check out this photo Mitch McConnell posted after the travel ban was upheld.

Here’s the question: You are in the same room holding a rabid raccoon that will only have time to bite one of them. Which one do you choose?

    What a horrific day.

Trump’s Muslim Ban was upheld by the Supreme Court today, yet one more way his racist, Islamophobic, and xenophobic agenda is enshrined in US law.

At the same time, families seeking to enter the U.S. are being detained in prison-like conditions; and thousands of children, separated from their parents are then kept in cages, and many are yet to be reunited.

These dangerous attacks on immigrants, refugees, and people of color remind us of some of the darkest chapters in Jewish histories.

    This. Can. Not. Go. Unanswered.

That’s why this weekend JVPers are joining hundreds of thousands at #FamiliesBelongTogether protests around the country — join us.

Today’s Supreme Court decision is yet another in a nightmare set of policies designed to target, profile, surveil and ban people who are fleeing countries the United States has invaded militarily or destroyed economically.

And the toll is horrendously inhumane.

Trump’s order to lock up children and families and today’s supreme court decision both show the limits of our courts, our legal system, and our government to realize justice. It’s beyond clear that it’s up to us to defend, support and care for each other.

There are hundreds of #FamiliesBelongTogether protests across the country — and more everyday. Join one now.

My great-grandmother smuggled herself onto a boat and into this country as a teenager, escaping Hitler’s army in Poland. She was alone and pregnant. I try to imagine if she’d been stopped at the border, if she’d been turned back.

The families detained now are no different than mine. Indeed, there should be no such thing as other people’s families when it comes to such inhumanity. The power of the grassroots is the only power big enough to right this wrong. That’s why I’ll be there this weekend. I hope you’ll join me.

Mitch! Bite him on his jugular vein. He is responsible for Gorsuch, and the last two black robed uncontitutional, corporate owned Supremes. What was Kennedy thinking?

This Court gave us Citizens United (permitting the 1% to take power in all 4 branches of govt. Court, Senate, House, Presidency!) This is the moment the alt right have planned for decades. Not since they tried with Goldwater and badly defeated. I believe the Tea Party, Freedom Caucus are the alt right and worked with Trump/Russia to winpower. This is not the republican party of 20 yrs ago, this is a cult needing a King who will deliver them into the “end times”.

Its all on us now. Join a rally, drag people to vote, and vote the sick bastards out. We have no other choice now.

Barbarians in Robes: The Committee to Defend Rich, Bigoted Old White Men (Preferably Patriarchal in the Pope Benedict Mode, and Zealously Republican)—otherwise known as the five Republican justices on the Supreme Court—is on a roll. The Committee is closing out this session with a bang, delivering a satchel of decisions that harks back in its economics to the Lochner court of 1905 (which struck down New York’s law that said bakers couldn’t be made to work more than ten hours a day or 60 hours a week, because it violated the free speech of employers) and in its racial attitudes to the Dred Scott court of 1857 (slightly updated for appearances’ sake).
