Yes, she performed at the Arden Gild Hall, and yes, she sang this song. Must’ve been inspired by the food we served. Or perhaps the cook.  I understand he was really handy with his utensils:

She comes from jazz royalty–her father, Luis Russell, was the arranger and bandleader for Louis Armstrong; her mother performed in a group with Mary Lou Williams and Ruth Brown.
