Don’t let 1% of adults pick who runs our schools

There are 140,000 students in Delaware’s public education system. Yet each year, just about 7,000 people make one of the most important choices about our schools: who runs them.

On May 8, communities across the state will hold elections for public school board members. In the past, a staggering 1 to 2 percent of registered Delaware voters participate in these elections.

Let’s make this year different.
