Song Of The Day: April 22, 2018
I spent an evening at the Broken Spoke in Austin, TX some 30-plus years ago. A great Texas honky-tonk. Couldn’t master either step of the Texas Two-Step. Guess I should’a worn boots instead of sneakers. Just stumbled onto this song that was recorded there, and I like it:
Love it! Echoes of Western Swing with a healthy dose of Honky Tonk thrown in. Liked the piano player, good stuff, I still enjoy honky tonkin’ a piano myself. As for the two step it’s not that easy, and covers a lot of ground, 3 or 4 two steppin’ couples can use up the whole dance floor in all but the biggest places.
