OK, this was an album that accompanied one of my three acid trips back in the mid-70’s.  A great trip, I might add. Let’s see how it holds up…:

Their Satanic Majesty’s Request, Funkadelic “Maggot Brain”, The Firesign Theatre “I Think We’re All Bozos On This Bus”, all lent themselves to great tripping.

    Honk!

  3. I could understand ‘Don’t Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me the Pliers’. But ‘Bozos’ might have made me feel a little…paranoid. For those of you who never heard of Firesign Theatre, an easy entry is ‘Nick Danger, Third Eye’:

  4. nathan arizona says:

Georgie Tirebiter/He’s a spy and a girl delighter. “Dwarf” is my favorite (but close call).

You must have gone to More Science High. I was a Communist Martyrs man myself.

Or maybe you walked into the side of a great sandstone building.

Sorry, I could do this all day.

  5. bamboozer says:

We were more traditional and mostly played Pink Floyd while tripping, believe we also did up some Hendrix. All I remember of Be Bop Deluxe was the name, tune sounds Mot The Hoople like to me, especially the vocal.

  6. Paul says:

The rifs on Nixon on ITWABOTB are priceless, and this script was easier to follow than the other ones. “Oh man, he’s lying agin”.

  7. Paul says:

Ok. Looking into ITWABOTB, if you say to siri on apple, “This is worker speaking. Hello”, you open a Firesign Theatre easter egg.
