Trump Bans Transgendered Troops. Again.
Maybe he’s running out of outrageous stunts to perform (no, I’m not talking about with Stormy Daniels–OK, maybe just a little bit). But at 9 pm Friday, he once again signed an Executive Order banning most transgendered troops from serving in the military. Or, maybe he signed it for the first time after announcing his ban last year, I’ve lost track. Anyway, 9 pm on a Friday, signing the order at Mar-A-Lago. Standard Operating Procedure for this Loony Toon.
So, why did he do it? To the extent that rational thought can be applied to Trump, my theory is that he’s standing up to his own Defense Secretary b/c he wants to fire him and replace him with someone more malleable.
To the extent that it matters, what do you think Trump was thinking? If anything?
His proposed bump stock ban was rolled out. He felt the need to remind the hicks and hayseeds that he still hates the gays and transgenders as much as they do.
I think he does just stuff. He is stimulated (or triggered) to do things by things he sees, eats, and smells. And of course people he talks to. There is no overall theme, policy, approach, or grand vision. When you poke him, he responds and there is no control over that respond except in very narrow circumstances where he is being controlled (nobody will let him run out of the White House stark naked).
We do know one thing for certain. He is not influenced by the written word, since he doesn’t read.
