Shocking! I loved or liked most of it. “I’m with her”, good reminder of the eternal power of the human voice in harmony, you do sing… right? Courtney Bennett, good punky pop, what rock needs to get more airplay. Sons of Kemet, love the tuba bass, good stuff. The Hookworms! Described by some as psychedelic I’ve loved their off the wall stuff for years, always got a WTF? when I played them at work. Screaming Females, more good punky pop, voice reminds me a little of Chrissie Hynde.

New approach this month. I turned on all the videos at the same time to see what rat would claw it’s way to the top of the dumpster. The winning rat was….. G Flip.

    Also noteworthy:

“Screaming Females is an American indie rock band, from New Brunswick, New Jersey. ”

I’m in. Did you know New Brunswick was originally called Prigmore’s Swamp? That was one cagey name change by the chamber of commerce in 1714.

    Friday the 24th.

Don’t be forgettin’ Secret Sisters (Laura Rogers and Lydia Rogers Slagle). Their latest CD (“You Don’t Own Me Any More”) is one of the best Americana releases of last year.
