Carney Runs to Catch Departing Train

Filed in National by on February 23, 2018

Here’s how obvious the changing momentum on guns is: Gov. John Carney heard the “All aboard!” call and is now running to catch the train.

He issued a statement today — sorry, no news conference in a state with no TV outlets — calling for Delaware lawmakers to ban “assault-style” weapons.

“In the coming weeks, my team will work closely with lawmakers to craft legislation that would prohibit the sale of assault-style rifles in Delaware. As we have seen in Las Vegas, Parkland, and in many other horrific incidents across our country, military-style weapons can be used to carry out catastrophic acts of violence. They have no place on the streets of our neighborhoods.”

HE got WaPo coverage for this.

BTW, Jeff Bezos, thieving plutocrat, is no friend of liberalism, despite his ownership of the Post. His Amazon streaming service carries the loathsome NRA channel.

I’d quit Amazon Prime but I never joined because I recognize the little puke for the steaming pile of loose shit that he is.

Hey! Carney did the right thing and I’ll take it. That and waiting until the train is leaving the station is a grand tradition in Delaware, legalizing marijuana comes to mind.

  4. Dana Garrett says:

I’m glad Carney took that position. Now if only we could get the states surrounding us to do the same.

I just wanna say candidiate Chris Johnson was way ahead of this thing look at his response Wednesday on FB.

  6. Shoutout to John Carney! Let’s do this. And this time, don’t let Val Longhurst negotiate everything away with the NRA. New prime sponsor please.
