    Yep. That Bakersfield Sound was infinitely preferable to the Nashville glop of that time. Also some great stuff coming out of west Texas in the late ’70’s/early ’80’s.

    Yep. Saw ’em at a place called, I think, Irving Plaza in NYC.

    NYC fans are overrated. They booed Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five off the stage when they opened for the Clash. And a chant of ‘Play Rawhide’ went up during Dwight’s set.

    And, yes, the Du’s encore was the ‘Love Is All Around’ theme from the Mary Tyler Moore show. One of the best double bills I’ve seen.
