No safe seats for Republicans these days

Filed in National by on February 7, 2018

“Bad energy” Democrats continue to treasonously vote against Trump’s GOP.

Democrats flipped a Missouri state House seat Tuesday, marking the 35th seat that has changed from red to blue since Donald Trump become president.

Mike Revis, 27, defeated his Republican opponent in a special election Tuesday by 3 percentage points.

The 97th District in Jefferson County went for Trump in the presidential election by 28 points. The area is historically Democratic but has recently tilted Republican.

In other words, the district has swung 31 percentage points toward Democrats since Trump won last year.

If Fox News viewers could see the unfiltered behavior and tweets, it would be worse. Although, there seems to be a class of people in this nation who confuse and project their affinity with yucking it up with their uneducated bigoted buddies at the Duff’s Beer plant with the qualities they admire in the leader of the free world

Have not read the details but I’m guessing the message was carefully crafted to avoid abortion and of course precious guns.

If Delaware Dems were smart, they’d put together a progressive legislative agenda and make the the DEGOP elected’s vote against it. Smoke out the phonies like Lopez.

Are you kidding me? Ernie Lopez is to the left of Pete Schwartzkopf. I’m much more interested in getting rid of phony Democrats like Schwartzkopf than any Republicans. Republicans are at least honest about opposing what I want. Delaware Democrats oppose it just as much but lie about it.

@Bam: At this point people are voting for anything and anybody without an R next to their name. This is all attributable to turnout — people who hate Trump are turning out, those who supported him in November ’16 are mostly dispirited because, despite all the sturm und drang, they still have shitty jobs, live in backwoods shitholes and have not seen the U.S. turn into the Nazi Disneyland they were hoping for.

I’d have liked some of that dispiriting of Trump supporters to be linked to something Democrats did, but I’ll take any dispiriting I can get.

What have Democrats done that would rally people to the polls? Nothing I’ve seen yet.

  8. jason330 says:

Exactly. This wave is going to be 100% anti-Trump and that will get the country only so far. As usually, Democrats suck.

When I think of Democrats, I think of primarying incumbents or voting 3nd party. It’s only my disdain for the putrid pandering of the religious fascist republican bigots that I ever vote Democrat.

Seems that the sex scandal involving Missouri’s governor played a big role here, according to polling:
