Carper, Coons & Trump are Loving Capitalism to Death
Like Steinbecks’s Lennie Small compulsively stroking and loving his little mouse, Carper, Coons and Trump can’t get enough of loving banks by rolling back banking regulations.
The stock market isn’t the economy. If Carper and Coons deregulation mania turns Jeff Bezo’s from a mere billionaire to a trillionaire it doesn’t mean actual Delaware residents are better off.
I can’t believe that I have to explain this to US Senators, but regulations are not the enemy of growth. Regulations have been described as the pipes and the plumbing that bring water from your hot water heater to the shower. Deregulating banks and “freeing” capital, makes about as much sense as “freeing” the water in your house by taking the pipes out.
They need to get behind defunding and closing down Amtrak
