Biden Watch: Joe to Keynote House Democratic Retreat
Politico is reporting that Joe Biden will be the keynote speaker at the three-day event, being held in Cambridge, Md., starting Feb. 7. This should provide more fodder for those who think Biden will mount one last presidential bid.
Yo Joe Just Say No, your too damn old and gotta go. Post Trump a damn good case will be made for no more presidents in their seventies. Hey! Works for the senate and house as well.
I’m sure he is testing the waters. This would be his last shot before he goes gently into the night. And why wouldn’t he? He is a political animal after all. Ultimately I think he decides against it, but it doesn’t really cost him anything to be sure of his decision before he makes it. And it’s not like he is sucking air from any other candidate because there really isn’t one. Or rather, it is every Dem (or independent that caucuses with the Dems but doesn’t want to be actually be one) who has ever entertained the thought.
Maybe they just wanted a barn-burning speech to wind things up. Giving a fiery speech is what he does best.
If Senator Biden had spent some of his famous elder statesman gravitas and voted against the transparently scammy Iraq war, he’s have been carried in the White House in a sedan chair.
He blew it. Too little, too late.
Biden’s speech alone is worth a $10,000 dollar donation. Hopefully Bubbles Wasserman is on hand and can use her Miami Circle to come up with a short list of Cosmetic surgeons willing to turn back the clock ten years for Joe. I never liked Hillary or that Weiner guy and whoever his wife was, is said to be in the first 10 minutes of his speech. Joe will also reveal an email said to be sent by Trump himself offering Joe a cool 5 million dollars not to run against him. After the break at the 2hr point Joe will return and proceed to out line his assumption of the Presidency. The road to the White House starts in Cambridge and heads West on 50.
