Delaware, Shell Corporations, Donald Trump’s Lawyer, And The Porn Star

Filed in Delaware by on January 18, 2018

The Wall Street Journal reports tonight that Donald Trump’s lawyer established a Delaware LLC, ‘Essential Consultants’, for the specific purpose of paying off actress Stormy Daniels to keep her from talking about her alleged affair with Donald Trump, and hiding the transactions from the public.  The lawyer in question, Michael Cohen, reportedly chose the Delaware route b/c doing it was ‘simple and secret’.

Unfortunately for Cohen, while he used pseudonyms for Trump and Daniels, he listed his real name on the document as the ‘authorized person’.  Since all Delaware wants is the money, he could have used a fake name as well.

Delaware, doing what Delaware does.  And we can’t increase the fees on these LLC’s b/c Bryon Short has a whole bunch of them?

Scam artists all.

    Two things:

    1) A record 81% of White Evangelicals voted for Trump with the full knowledge that he was fucking outside of his marriage to the current First Lady.

    2) Being a full partner in money laundering and all manner of illegal activities should be MUCH more lucrative for the state of Delaware.

Great piece at the end of the new Chappelle Netflix special The Bird Revolution (the 2nd hour, small club set). He gives a long commentary on the Iceberg Slim memoir “Pimp”. Chappelle calls it the capitalist manifesto.

It goes without saying, but Chappelle is a genius.

I co-dedicated my Master’s thesis to Iceberg Slim. This is true, but I was probably being a little ironic.

Vicious, amoral monster of a man, but a very good writer.

His description of Baby Bell, one of his pimp mentors in the 50s, will always stay with me. Baby was an old-timer. Born in the 19th century. Drove a 1920s Duesenberg and had a pet ocelot with a diamond collar.

    Capitalism.

No, he was not a very good human being. But he’s a pulp fiction legend.
