Song Of The Day: Nov. 27, 2017

We’re gonna do a week of what I call ‘Underground Motown’. I’ll highlight songs that you may not have known were from Motown, and I will also feature under-rated gems.  Today we start with a song that didn’t even chart back in 1964, but was later turned into a monster hit by Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, and also became a centerpiece of Bruce Springsteen’s shows.  With that loping beat, it doesn’t even sound like a Motown song, but it’s become a part of the rock & roll pantheon.
