The ever-worsening GOP tax bill has nothing to recommend it, but that doesn’t stop the GOP vandals in the Washington from trying. Now it’s a jobs bill, albeit the worst jobs bill in history.

So how do they keep suckering non-rich people into voting for them? As you’d expect, it’s mostly a sales job, using our ideas of fairness against us.

With the constant distraction of the the presidential Twitter fingers you probably missed it, but the war in Syria is over in most respects. Russia won.

That’s OK, we Americans have better things to fight about, such as gentrification. Well-off young people moving into distressed neighborhoods, in case you missed the memo, is just about the worst thing that could ever happen to a poor person, as this Denver coffee shop found out when it displayed a sign that said it had been proudly gentrifying the neighborhood since 2014. A boycott and vandalism quickly ensued. Remember, liberals are the ones who are open and accepting.

Guess where you won’t find many of them? Right up Route 41 in Lancaster, Pa., which is the only district in the nation that has never elected a Democrat. The last non-Republicans elected were Whigs; the last person resembling a Democrat to win ran as a Jacksonian. In 1830. Trump carried the district fairly easily, but Democrats think they have a chance to break their forever schneid in 2018.
