Song Of The Day: Nov. 9, 2017

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on November 9, 2017

One of the great soul ballads of all time. Out of the Philly Gamble and Huff stable.  Of course, it really should have been Teddy Pendergrass and The Blue Notes, at least on this song:

BTW, did’ja know that Melvin discovered Pendergrass while Teddy was the drummer for the Cadillacs, a band who often toured with the Blue Notes? Now you do.

  7. Nathan Arizona FTW. The Cadillacs’ big hit (was also referenced in a Paul Simon song, Teddy wasn’t in the original group) was Speedoo, where the aptly-named Mr. Earl appeared. Hey, why not toss some more music your way?:

BTW, thanks for ‘Wake Up Everybody’. What a great song!

As long as I’m here, what’s this Unpainted Huffheinz thing about? Just got home, and, per usual, I’m confused.

  8. jason330 says:

If you are confused that means you didn’t piss away your college years memorizing movies like ‘Raising Arizona’

C’mon, you can’t mention the song and not include it:
