The big news of the day is, of course, the first indictment from Robert Mueller’s election probe. Today’s chatter revolves around who will get the knock on the door just before dawn on Monday. Paul Manafort seems to be the early favorite. No links because nobody knows anything more than that so far.

Worried that with Flake flaking and Corker pulling the cork there won’t be any anti-Trumpers left in the Senate? Fear not! It’s Mittens to the rescue!

Wonder why Harvey Weinstein is a pariah and Donald Trump is president, even though they’re accused of virtually the same sex-assault crimes? Anna North and Ezra Klein at Vox explain the discrepancy.

The stink surrounding that Whitefish Energy $300 million no-bid, no-audit contract in Puerto Rico has both the White House and its interior secretary denying all knowledge of anyone’s actions. Now FEMA is asking questions and denying any role in awarding it. Details of the contract are out, too. The company is paid $400 a day per worker. How much of that do you think goes to the actual workers?

The NFL has 99 problems, and head injuries aren’t the most attention-grabbing these days. Still, as shown by this brutal hit on UD alum Joe Flacco last week — and the failure of the league to suspend Kiki Alonso for the hit — attempts to reign in aggression on the field aren’t going all that smoothly.

Have at it, and add anything interesting you find.

What about the Mark Halperin stuff? Over a dozen women have come forward. the stories are bizarre….the hypocrisy of some of these journalists…what a scumbag.

  2. jason330 says:

All the scumbag creeps are being smoked out. All of them except the Pussy Grabber in Chief.

  3. puck says:

When the Weinstein and Halperin accusations hit the news, I had to read up on who they were.

  4. Homesteader says:

It is amazing how NOBODY knows ANYTHING about that Whitefish deal. Guess it was done in a total vacuum…

  5. Homesteader says:

Outing Weinstein has become the Hollywood bloodsport of choice for middle-aged actresses who don’t depend on him for a career anymore. Once Gloria Alread became involved, he’s done for.
My biggest question is, when did Ashley Judd start looking exactly like Kaitlyn Jenner??

  6. Are you suggesting that he didn’t deserve to be done?

    He did.

  7. Homesteader says:

No, he deserves whatever comes his way. But I would admire the victims more if they had spoken out years ago, when it first happened. It could have spared the later victims. If he had done that to me, I would have raised Hell right to his face!

  8. Liberal Elite says:

@H “If he had done that to me, I would have raised Hell right to his face!”

I’m sure there were many who did just that. They just never became famous.

When you look at Fox news, and see all those blond announcers, you’re only looking at the subset that was willing to play along…
