Manafort Had Serious Russian Money Behind Him.  At least $60 mill from one Russian oligarch. Explain to me how Donald Trump identified this Russian operative as the person to run his campaign? Anybody?

Roy Moore: Lyin’ For The Lord.  More like ‘lyin’ for the loot’. How this man who did not take a ‘regular’ salary from his crypto-Christian ‘charity’ b/c he didn’t wish to be a financial burden could reap half a mill selling the charity’s building. (BTW, the building is owned by his wife, another warrior for Jesus.) Methinks there might be something a little, um, legally questionable, about this. Oxymoron of the Day: The Foundation For Moral Law.

Did Delaware Illegally Seize And Sell Shares In Pharmaceutical Firm?  Seems like you can’t spell escheat w/o ‘cheat’.  My favorite twist in the story? State claims that the lawsuit was not filed in time.  Complainants, two Belgian scientists, point out that the state refused to provide them with timely info despite repeated requests.

But the scientists claim that after they spent years inquiring about their shares, Delaware officials did not confirm until May 2014 that the shares had been seized, and that state officials were “waiting for the proceeds from the sale to be applied.” In fact, the shares had been sold five years earlier.

“They escheated stock without any notice that they had no right to do,” Stephen Brauerman said. “They sold it almost immediately without any notice.”

I’m no lawyer, but it sure looks like the state acted with an abundant lack of good faith. Erroneously grab the stock as unclaimed property, sell it almost immediately, and then play keep-away from the legit owners of the stock until the statute of limitations runs out.

Court Challenges To Trump’s Wanton Health Care Destruction.  What a disastrous and unnecessary clusterbleep caused by the Worst Person In America.  Millions of people will suffer, for no good reason whatsoever. Whatever definition of ‘deranged’ you use, Trump fits the definition.

How AG Sessions Plans To Deny Due Process For Immigrants. White Supremacy uber alles.

NCAA Ties Itself In Knots Rather Than Sanction UNC.  Basically said that courses that (a) weren’t courses and (b)  were automatic A’s were OK as long as non-athletes could take them as well.  Pay the ‘student-athletes’ already and be done with it.

What do you want to talk about?

Here’s why old political principles don’t work anymore:

The 2016 American Values Survey found that more than six in 10 Americans say that “neither political party represents their views anymore,” compared to 48 percent in 1990.

A Washington Post/ABC News poll from April of this year found 67 percent of Americans believe the Democratic Party is out of touch with the concerns of most people, while 62 percent believe the same for the Republican Party.

The GOP attempt to turn the NFL protests into a test of patriotism seem to be failing:

One silver lining about Trump is that he applies all the standard GOP responses so ham-handedly that even the typically gullible see through it.
