How Rethugs Used Algorithms To Make Wisconsin Legislature D-Proof.   Only thing that matters is what kind of a mood Justice Kennedy is in on the day the decision is rendered.

Hugh Hefner–A Creep Even In Death? Yes, he’s buried next to Marilyn Monroe, an arrangement he made back in 1992.

Trump Filling Courts With Anti-Abortion, Anti-LGBTQ Judges At Record Rate.  All on party line votes. Most depressing post of the day.

It Never Rains On the ‘Rainy Day Fund’.  There’s $200 mill that been sitting there…forever.  According to Sen. McDowell, it’s just a bright shiny object that protects our bond rating. I say ‘Bullshit’.

  1. Paul Hayes says:

It seems to me that if you use ANY device or contivance to make the outcome of an election a SURE thing in your favor you have fundementally changed the game whether the means you used were legal or illegal. On its face this should be anathema to all Americans who believe in that this country stands for. (I knew Scott Walker was a criminal the first time I saw that photograph revealing his own unique smirk.) This all happened on Obama’s watch. Where was he and Eric Holder when this was going on? And these were supposed to be the SMART boys?

Yeah Gill v Whitford case could be big. This is some nefarious shit for sure. Engineering districts with sophisticated computer modeling. (Disclosure: I know a thing or two about this topic). Clever and pernicious.

For those inclined the SCOTUS blog puts the audio of oral arguments up a week after the cases are argued. It’ll be up this week if that’s something you’d enjoy. (Disclosure: According to written transcript, Justice Thomas stood mute.)

@Paul: What precisely were Obama and the boys supposed to do about it? Do you think Democrats, had they been in power when the technology reached this point, would have behaved differently? I don’t.
