Lindsey Graham still thinks it can pass, and who really knows. The bill sponsors and White House are throwing billions around in “block grants” to states. That strategy may still turn a Democratic head or two. Isn’t it strange how they horrifying “National Debt” isn’t so horrifying when Republicans are in charge? A balanced budget? That is for suckers.
But that’s inside baseball. Consider this larger point – the whole shit show hangs on whether or not Insurance companies will have the ability to gouge people who happen to already be injured or sick. The GOP is OPENLY saying that insurance companies should have no civic responsibility WHATSOEVER, and that their only responsibility is to their bottom line profitability.
We Democrats can’t beat that noxious proposition at the ballot box? Truly – we suck.

I found this at Redstate.com of all places. The DEGOP reminds me of Solzhenitsyn’s cheaters in the back of the room. They don’t have the guts to stop applauding, but they exchange knowing “this is bullshit” glances as the applauding for the Dotard in Chief goes on and on. Those glances, I suppose, are their flimsy alibis when this really go south. Their threadbare arguments that they never really bought into Trump in the first place will hang on those thin reeds.
More Black Women Are Realizing That the Democratic Party Is Full of Shit, New Poll Finds
Not my headline, although I wish I wrote it. The Democratic Party has experienced an 11 percent drop in support from black women, that’s headline worthy. But it isn’t just black women. The country is waking up to the fact that the DLC-Clintonomics-Banks First-Democratic Party, is full of shit. How else can you explain people voting for dotard carnival barker, Donald J Trump?
Sadly this article strays into the reductive nonsense that frames any conflict within the Democratic Party as a conflict between “white working class” and the non-white – when in fact the factions are the John Carney, Tom Carper, Chris Coons, Clintonite 1%ers versus (literally) everyone else.
Nevertheless less, it is refreshing to see another interest group becoming aware off the fact that the Democratic Party isn’t safeguarding their interests.

A Democratic Party Sick with Dread and Exhausted
Every morning we are greeted with more evidence that Trump is literally horrible. This morning we have more evidence that he is sticking with the Sean Hannity, cartoon version of the Iranian nuclear arms deal, and appears to be determined to undermine the agreement worked out between Russia, China, Britain, France, Germany and Iran. He is determined to go to war with somebody, and soon.
But what is perhaps worse is how there is no congressional opposition to this belligerent child-man in the White House. The Republicans appear ready to pass the latest “health care” monstrosity, and the Democrats are worse than useless.
There continues to be no coherent response from Democrats to the daily assaults on our Democratic norms. There is only meekly hopping that the Mueller investigation …finds “something.” Trump and his inner circle of cronies and outer circle of GOP sycophants must be thinking “So what if it does find something? Democrats will never force the issue.”
And they are right to think that the Democrats have no response. No leadership, no guiding principles and no sway over public opinion. The Democrats have cede their oppositional authority to late night comedians.
