Trump said Wednesday that “talking is not the answer” when it comes to reining in North Korea — his top Cabinet members instantly contradicted him. The guy is nuts. Off his rocker. People around him who are denying it are now involved in a criminal cover up.

So Much talk about Denn this week. How are these elected’s down ticket Dems doing: Mat Meyer, BHL, LBR, Trinidad Navarro.

Me, (Jason330) I’m always buying stock in Bethany Hall Long. Not because she is crushing it, but because people like her. That is currency in politics and it is something that the Hillary supporters STILL don’t seem to understand.

Very quiet on the Matt Meyer front …except that he and the county screwed up that possible deal to make that Newark land into a park, losing out to the developers. Disappointing!

She also sends a nice newsletter.

She gives the impression, at least, that she’s keeping up. Some of my electeds write me when they feel outrage, and some have some underling keep me up to date on road construction, but when something happens that’s newsworthy I generally see a BHL response in my spam filter.

LBR has the best job of the lot. A new member whose party is totally outnumbered in the House. So for all intent and purpose expectations are nil. Plus DC is a farcical shit show. Is she even turning up for sessions? Who would know? She can just buy a beer and some popcorn and watch gangs of clowns spill out of cars that seem too small to carry them.

My wife is one of those folks who email one or more members of the Congressional delegation almost every day to bitch about the latest Trump outrage. LBR sends her an answer every time — and it’s always the same. “Thanks for your interest … and as soon as I get my office up and running …” Perhaps by the end of her first term she will tell people what she really thinks.

lisa is underwhelming and disappointing at best..she could’ve easily supported automatic voter registration and not lost a single vote but did not…I hope her money keeps her warm at nigth

An addendum to my advice the other day about people turning off the TV, or at least staying off the infotainment channels:

I saw a story online about an interview with Joe Walsh, a one-term Congressman from Illinois who was one of the more offensive Tea Partiers because, among other things, he stiffed his kid $100,000 in child support. He had some moronic, non-factual thing to say about Charlie Hebdo, and my only thought was, “Why the fuck is somebody even asking this guy anything?”

The same goes for so many of the people who comment on our infotainment channels. Why does anyone care what Newt Gingrich thinks? He holds no power in this society, except for the fact that CNN et all keep putting him on TV. He is a demonstrable know-nothing, an agitating asshole who did more to wreck the US Congress than any other human. Nobody cares enough about what he thinks to hire him, but goddamn if he isn’t on TV every time he isn’t bonking his next wife.

The answer to these questions is simple: They are provocateurs, and our infotainment media would cease to exist without them.

This is how we got Donald Trump, the Clickbait President.

Re LBR: Like father, like daughter. Quick, someone, name Ted Blunt’s biggest (non-ironic) accomplishment.

Yeah, there is critical analysis of nothing

  9. SussexWatcher says:

BHL is the very epitome of the don’t-stand-between-X-and-a-camera expression. If she’s not a vacuous grip-and-grin type, then she is doing nothing to alleviate that impression.

Navarro seems ambitious and egotistic as hell. I would not at all be surprised to see him run for AG mid-term.

Meyer has assembled a good team, and I’m sure has been plenty busy digging out from under the Gordon sleaze, but he seems to be having very little real impact.

LBR has impressed me by her oratorical skill. I haven’t seen her work beyond that, though.

NK has been an issue for decades and it needs to be addressed and not ignored like Barry did for eight years.

  11. Jason330 says:

It took a while for Kline to get his talking points from HQ

  12. Delawarelefty says:

Oh please continue Tom……tell us how the orange turd is going to deal with NK
