Why DNC Fundraising Sucks.  Hillarybots suppressing reforms and suppressing reformers. Billionaires taking control of state parties. Gee, who ever would have guessed that that wouldn’t work? Has anyone seen this Tom Perez guy? He sucks.

Trump Has Flake In Bullseye. What little hope that D’s have of taking back the Senate rests on Trump bringing some R’s down with him. BTW, I’m really worried about tonight’s ‘rally’. He is looking to incite something, and incite he might well do.

Trump Family Travels Drain Secret Service Budget. Seriously, make him pay for it.

Steve Mnuchin’s Wife: Who The Fuck Are These People?  Louise Linton is an ‘actress’. She played, I’m not making this up, a ‘Skin Care Consultant’ in Lions For Lambs, and a ‘Gorgeous Woman’ in Heineken Experience: Brew You. Her family owns a castle in Scotland. Who better to lecture everybody else on the sacrifices she and her husband make?

India’s Supreme Court Rules Muslim ‘Instant Divorce’ Law Unconstitutional. A landmark boon for Muslim women, if the ruling stands.

Bannon’s Breitbart Trashes Trump’s Afghan ‘Flip-Flop’.  I think Bannon will find that he’s overestimated his influence with ‘the base’, but we’ll see.

Putin’s Hacker At That Fredon Jr. Meeting.  Mueller’s work grinds on.  The one subject Trump ultimately won’t be able to change.

What do you want to talk about?

So the Dem plan is, wait for Trump to implode and drop majority control into their laps. Yeah, that’ll work.

  2. The current ‘stewards’ of the D Party are only concerned about maintaining corporate control of the Party. They’d rather lose than have a grassroots movement overrun the donor class and actually win.

  3. puck says:

It’s worth pointing out that the ONLY reason Carper opposed ACA repeal was to preserve the payouts to his corporate patrons. Carper and Dems like him are NOT part of the resistance, even though our paths may occasionally coincide.

  4. Paul Hayes says:

I know I won’t be donating to the DNC. They have a lot to prove to me to regain my trust, and Tom Perez won’t do it.

  5. 00elainesmith says:

I will take hope if indeed Mueller’s work moves on despite Trump’s intentional and unintentional diversions from the Russia story with his significant and insignificant behaviors. The media chases his inflammatory, provocative tweets and that media coverage draws attention away from the Russia investigation and more important matters. Help me think of a correct analogy: Twitter is to Trump as TV News is to Sheeple? I know there’s a more apt analogy; mine doesn’t really work. Thanks.

Re: Mnuchin’s wife. I think we need to start a “Shitgibbon of the Week” award. She’s the leader in the clubhouse.

  7. Ben says:

I dont know if it’s true, but I have been seeing pictures of DNC “give us money” letters disguised as collections mail. Again, cant verify, but I wouldn’t put it past those hapless fucks.

  8. Jason330 says:

$0.00 from me to the party of hapless fucks going in ten years.

I still get the “hair on fire – The GOP IS GOING TO WIN UNLESS YOU PAY UP!” Emails though.

  9. RE Vanella says:

“They’re going to fight you tooth and nail no matter what, so why don’t you just ask for what you actually want.” -Rep. Keith Ellison

  10. puck says:

I don’t know the origin or the context of that alleged Ellison quote, but I wonder who he means by “they.”

If by “they” he means Democrats, I submit that elected Democrats already have what they want:

    1. Safe blue seats on the minority side
    2. Continuing gusher of Federal dollars to insurance companies
    3. Prospect of tax cuts for the rich“tax reform” with just enough Dems voting for it to pass (and the rest claiming credit for opposing it).
    4. A permanent free pass from Clintonite Dems for 2 and 3.
    5. Robust suppression of progressive candidates by troll army of said Clintonites.

  11. RE Vanella says:

He was interviewed this week by Matt Taibbi and Alex Pareene on the podcast The Tarfu Report. He was referring specifically to single payer healthcare.

  12. Paul Hayes says:

Puck, I believe the “they” refers to Republicans. This is why indefinate pronouns drive me crazy. Take every indefinite pronoun out and replace with the original pronoun. “’Republicans are’ going to fight you tooth and nail no matter what, so why don’t you just ask for what you actually want.” This addressed third, middle way or net-lib dems, who don’t demand what people really need. I blame the Clintons for this brilliant idea: getting money from the financial sector. This is the root cause of grass roots suppression. Money from financial elites. Dems then must choose between catering to these elites and working folks. Guess who is catered to, guess who gets screwed. I am against all and any neo-libs. They are the “cowbirds” of the Democratic party.

  13. mouse says:

So sick of having to vote for corporate owned Democrats just because the republicans are worse. I will never again be coerced or guilted away from voting 3nd party/Green. If it is a thrown away vote or helps elect republicans, so be it. It’s on the DNC and not me!

  14. RE Vanella says:

    Paul’s got it.

  15. alby says:

Tell ya what, Trump going full KKK — let’s not dignify him by calling him a Nazi — has really brought the racist yahoos out of the woodwork. A couple of high-school students from Union City, Pa., wore MAGA hats to Howard University and — gasp! — were treated rudely. One even had her hat knocked off.

Also, an asshat in Ontario hung a Confederate flag at the construction site where he worked, claiming it was for “shits and giggles.” He got fired.

  16. Jason330 says:

“For shits and giggles” was the #1 response Trump voters gave for voting for The Orange Menace”

  17. Paul Hayes says:

Mouse: “So sick of having to vote for corporate owned Democrats just because the republicans are worse.” You have just described Tom Carper’s entire career.

  18. alby says:

    @jason: That’s Michael Moore’s reasoning, too.

  19. Tom Kline says:

Better than waking up to Hillary everyday…

  20. jason330 says:

“It’s not conservative to stay silent about the chaos of the Trump administration.”
    Republican Senator Jeff Flake

  21. mouse says:

I wonder if the consistent theme of misogyny in the conservative community has anything to do with angry ugly conservative men not being able to attract a woman?
