White House & Trump Concocted Phony ‘Orphan’ Cover Story For Fredon Jr..  BTW, they lied.

D’s Flip Two Legislative Seats in Oklahoma.  BTW, Okie Rethugs appear to be particularly perverted. The R state rep resigned ‘after two former legislative assistants accused him of sexual harassment’. The R state senator resigned b/c he ‘faces three felony counts alleging he solicited a 17-year-old boy for sex’.

What Russian Lawyer Might Have Been Peddling. This likely was a nothingburger.

Trump’s Lawyer May Not Have Access To Evidence.  Why? He likely can’t get a security clearance. Why? Read the article. This is the President’s lawyer.

NCC County Council Approves Housing Development Over Objections of Lisa Diller.  The project is in her district.  BTW, I could find nothing about this in the News-Journal. Guess they don’t even cover County Council any more.

The Trump-Agalarov Connection.  This will help you fill in the blanks.

What do you want to talk about?

  1. Since the News-Journal has apparently placed NCC Council under a news blackout, I can’t vouch for the accuracy of this tip, but I thought I’d pass it along. Maybe those in the know can comment on it:

“If you want an example of the deplorable state of the Democratic Party, you need not look as high as national party leadership. If you live in New Castle County, just take look at some of the members of the New Castle County Council. Unlike the national Democratic Party, a political group that understands the importance of things like roads, bridges and other infrastructure, some Democratic members of New Castle County Council can’t figure out that they are really doing a disservice to their constituents by refusing to vote for the new fiscal year’s bonding legislation. Yes, the legislation that builds things and repairs sewers. Yes, these are Democrats who evidently missed the email message that they are supposed to be for building things. And they are throwing temper tantrums.

In last night’s race to the bottom regarding bad behavior and the refusal to fund capital projects, President Karen Hartley-Nagle, Councilman Bill Bell, Councilman Bill Powers, Councilman Tim Sheldon and Councilman Ken Woods voted “no” for yet a third time on bonding legislation. Yes, the union guys voted no on infrastructure. Unbelievable, right? Councilman Street and Councilman Hollins decided they had finally punished the electorate enough and voted yes. The rest of Council behaved like adults (again) and voted for the legislation. Unfortunately, the votes of seven adults was not the super majority of ten needed to make the bonding happen.

Many excuses are being given as to why Council members aren’t voting for the legislation. One member claimed that the County Executive didn’t call him (WHAT?). Two members keep whining that they don’t have anything like parks, libraries or a paramedic station in their districts. News flash, boys–When you’ve been in elected office since 2004, you damn well should have accomplished something by 2017! The Council President does not seem to know why she is or isn’t voting for the legislation but this confusion is not out of character for her.

All this to say that if you are crossing your fingers that the sewer issues in your area will be addressed—put that hope on hold and thank your lucky stars that you have members on Council who are so narcissistic that they make your crazy next door neighbor look sane. And then either run or vote against these terrible toddlers in the next election.”

Isn’t it time we started casting the Trump movie? Kushner has to be played by Ryan Gosling, if he can do the whiny voice.

Here’s what happens when you put “common-sense” Republican proposals into action:

    https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2017/7/12/1680000/-Republicans-defunded-Planned-Parenthood-in-Texas-and-abortions-rose-among-teens-Who-s-surprised

The truth is that the right isn’t interested in ending abortion. It’s interested in castigating the morals of people who don’t fuck under the right circumstances. it’s all about calling other people whores.

Jesus, of course, didn’t shame prostitutes, he accepted them. The people he took his ire out on were the ministry and the outwardly pious. Just sayin’.

  4. chris says:

Ryan Gosling way too good to play Kushner in the film …more like Giovanni Ribisi…much scrawnier and nasal voice. Check out the film Boiler Room to see Ribisi.

  5. alby says:

    @chris: Yeah, that’ll work.

  6. RE Vanella says:

Plus Giovanni Ribisi is a Scientologist. He’ll be able to pull off the blank facial expression of a dogmatic religious cultist. Same as Kushner has.

  7. alby says:

I assure you that everyone else here has better ideas than I do, since I can’t tell apart actors who are under 40. So who plays Don Jr. (if it was 40 years ago I’d say John Cazale, the original Fredo).

    And Horatio Sanz as Agalarov.

  8. RE Vanella says:

John Cazale’s best work was Dog Day Afternoon. One small issue though. He’s been dead for quite a while.

  9. alby says:

    Yes, but Fredo is forever.
