Donnie Jr. Lied Again.  A big lie. He’s not as skilled a liar as his pop. Yet. They’re all going down. Firing of Mueller in 3-2-1?

Kushner Pushed For Huge Loan From Qatar. Could this be why Trump is putting the screws to Qatar? Blatant conflicts-of-interests everywhere. 666 y’all.

Rare Good News For Consumers. Federal agency paves the way for consumer class action lawsuits.  Wonder how long that’ll last.

Foxes Guarding the Henhouse: A Who’s Who.  Trump’s team for gutting regulations, kept far from public view.  Great reporting from Pro Publica and the NYTimes.

City Council Dithers on Wilmington Gun Registry Legislation. In fairness, the bill is a total mess.  Isn’t that what legislators are supposed to fix?

How DOJ Is Trying To Stifle Voter Protections. It’s now a well-established Trumpian strategy: Get everyone to pay attention to the public facade (the so-called Election Integrity Commission) while President Bannon guts protections while nobody is looking.

Senate Will Consider Trump’s FBI Choice Wednesday.  He’s defended both Credit Suisse and Chris Christie.  Seems perfect.

Can you imagine if this was Obama being a crude pig, having multiple foreign wives, every appointee having connections to Russian banks, Russian oil et al, firing the FBI direction via the Nixon strategy, transparently lying repeatedly. The talk radio republicans stand for nothing but their own vile fragile egos

“Federal agency paves the way for consumer class action lawsuits. Wonder how long that’ll last.” Until the Rethugs repeal the consumer protection agency.

  3. Yeah, it was sort-of a rhetorical question.

    Probably days, not weeks.

Good luck on this collusion revelation du jour.

The only “hacking” was the “phishing scam” that Leon Panetta fell for that revealed the dark tactics of the DNC and Clinton Campaign, and we don’t even know if it was the Russians who did it because the DNC never turned over their server to be analyzed…….Collusion to what? A rudimentary phishing scam of which the origins are unknown?

Obama even played down and poo-pooed the idea of Russian “hacking” at the time because Hillary was looking like a shoe in, and bringing up any discrepancies surely wouldn’t have been advantageous to the Hillary campaign…..Remember at the time of this supposed “hacking” there was a debate going on about Hillary’s unprotected private server , and talking about even more vulnerable computer systems probably would have looked bad.

It was only an issue when she lost.

@FBH: Good luck on this collusion revelation keeping a bunch of your boys out of prison, you mean.

You truly do not understand how the FBI and intelligence services work. They dribble out information slowly so perps like the Trump family entangle themselves in lies, just like Fredo did in this case. Word is that WaPo is sitting on another bombshell involving voice intercepts. Seriously, good luck with that.

You should do more research — read something besides right-wing media, for example — before you come over here to make a fool of yourself.

Intellectually lazy types rarely read anything..

  7. Delawarelefty says:

FBH is still buying into the Russian propaganda pumped out by Fox Noise

When your entire self-worth is tied to your group identity, you can’t break that bond without decades of high quality therapy.

  9. GeoBum says:

@FBH, you’re using yesterday’s tactics to argue today’s issues. Try to focus, HRC and Obama are out of the picture; this is all in Trump’s lap. You should probably consider working up your exit strategy to get out of the Trump camp and into the “Pence is our man” camp sooner than later. Trump probably is.

  10. Looks like Trump was expecting Junior’s meeting with the Russkie to bear fruit:

Which means he likely knew about the meeting.

  11. Ben says:

I would get excited about this if any shred of me believed the GoP would ever do the right thing.

  12. Delawarelefty says:

The FBI should now be seeking Jr’s email.

  13. Paul Hayes says:

I heard a factoid a day or two ago. The Senate rules regarding special procedures to pass bills without a filibuster permitted stipulate that only one bill can be on the floor at a time. Healthcare decision then becomes more of an open question: how long do they want to hold up other legislation to permit an opportunity to repeal the ACA? They must choose between a tax cut through Medicaid repeal or all other bills. Sooner or later they will cut bait on the ACA and move on to more substantial tax cutting, regulation gutting, agency defunding. Ugh.

  14. alby says:

The regulation cutting and agency destruction continue apace. They don’t need votes for most of that. But they will have a hard time cutting taxes until they claw back the money from ACA repeal, which is why it’s first on the agenda.
