Wilmington Rally to Fund Our Schools

Filed in National by on June 23, 2017

Right now the State of Delaware’s budget is facing a ~$350 million shortfall, and our schools are facing huge cuts. In addition to education, critical programs are facing cuts throughout Delaware, including health, social services, and the arts. We need to raise the funds necessary to avoid deep cuts that cost us all later.

Come to this rally to show your support for Delaware’s future and ensure we have long-term budget solutions that protect these programs.

  1. Arthur says:

There will be less people there than at the booze tax rally. Just goes to show you people care more about $5 six packs then they do about their kids

  2. jason330 says:

Racists and stupid. They do tend to go together.

  3. chris says:

Probably too late to rally, folks…Budget being hammered out now and R’s hold the cards this year with 10 R state senators and you need 13 votes to pass a budget. Those are the cold hard facts.

  4. Any reason why the rally is being held where it is? Seems like an unusual location.
