111 D House Members Co-Sponsor ‘Medicare For All’AKA ‘Single Payer.  None of the co-sponsors are named Lisa Blunt Rochester.  She looks more and more like a mere Carperbot.  But, you know, she’s a ‘Woman of Color’. The color is yellow.

In the same light as LBR’s non-committal to the health, well being and financial security of her constituents by not co-sponsoring H.R. 676 and helping push toward an inevitability of universal, single payer health care for all…

Sen. Sanders will reintroduce $15/hr. min. wage bill Today with 31 Senate Dems as co-sponsors, up from just 5 in 2015.

Take a guess at two names of Senate Dems not included in that list of 31 initial co-sponsors…

OMG, It’s like an invasion. Don’t come here, the horse show crabs will eat your grand kids, there’s deadly Portuguese men of war and great white sharks in the ocean and the mosquitoes are carrying the new deadly Delmarva strain. Turn back while you can!

  3. chris says:

LBR playing it safe on everything. Not going to bite the corporate hand that feeds her. She’s smiling her way to the top! That works in Delaware . Not rocking any boats.

  4. Aurochs says:

There was a significant amount of early voting in MT; estimates seem to settle at around half of the vote already being cast. But if the election is as close as the polls suggest, Gianforte’s actions could still easily tip the scales.

I’m just absolutely amazed that Quist didn’t provide a comment on this. He was given a wheelbarrow full of political gold and he just looked at it quizzically. This is still the best GOTV material Quist’s could have possibly dreamed of, though, and I hope they capitalize on it as much as possible.

  5. SussexAnon says:

There is the possibility she doesn’t even know about the bill. I seem to recall Carney not attaching his name to something then co-sponsoring it claiming he didn’t know about the bill.

No matter, the single payer bill isn’t going anywhere, anyway. Its been around for years and has always gone nowhere. 1 vote from Delaware isn’t going to change the Democratic party status quo of selling out to big business.

DNREC strikes again, the shitpipe (aka Coopers Pooper) has been approved.

  7. Jim C says:

@SussexAnon, if she actually gets info from the call screeners at her office, she does know about it. I called to ask why she didn’t sign on as a cosponsor around a month ago. Let’s swamp her office with that question; she does, indeed, seem to be another one of the do-nothing congress-critters that come out of the Democratic Party in DelaWhere?

  8. chris says:

Bravo to the ACLU of Delaware for bringing the lawsuit. if the school districts have to resort to denying a fair election process, there is something very wrong in this state. The Judge said the district violated the State Constitution, but the schools just need the money too badly because no reassessments have happened in decades. Insane!

  9. Arthur says:

So with this judges ruling and the precedent he set can schools just deny entrance to those who are voting against the referendum and still keep the money?

  10. Well, no, but I gotta admit the ruling makes no sense.

Yes, the law was broken, yes, it might have had an impact on the referendum, but we’ll let the election stand?

  11. Anon says:

Cuz what else can Judge do??

  12. chris says:

The ruling is asinine. If he found the Constitution was violated and citizens were deprived the right to a free and fair election, he can invalidate the result. Instead, hes saying that they were wrong but will get away with their underhanded antics.

  13. Aurochs says:

Carney tweeted earlier today in support of HB 170, which would grant a tax credit to “angel investors” (aka obscenely wealthy people) who drop money onto “high-tech” Delaware businesses.

Maybe those businesses would be better served by having an educated workforce to draw from. Hmm. But no, let’s enact another tax credit, because $200M in budget cuts just isn’t enough.

  14. SussexAnon says:

Yes lets keep trying to entice business’ to move here. Yeah, that will work.

Maybe a few more bike paths will open the floodgates…..

  15. mediawatch says:

My wife has written numerous letters to LBR since January — healthcare, education, budget, you name it. And she keeps getting responses. All but one of them have said, “Thank you … when my office is up and running ….”
Dammit, LBR, what are you waiting for? WaPo had a long piece the other day about a freshman GOP rep from Kentucky who had four big town hall meetings in his district in less than a week.
And, yes indeed, she is a Carperbot.

  16. chris says:

If the campaign was any indicator, she does not do well in large public gatherings.

Gianforte wins the Montana special election.

i guess the DCCC is happy with their successful attempt to not win a race.

  21. jason330 says:

The least the DCCC will be able to continue to crank out their lucrative panic stricken fundraising emails.

I swear if I ever got an email from them that wasn’t “OH MY GOD!!! REPUBLICANS!!!! AAAAARRRGHAAAuuhh!!” I think I’d faint.
