Shorter Trump – “The buck stops there…at Fox News”

Filed in National by on March 17, 2017

The President really is an idiot.

President Donald Trump on Friday suggested his administration bore no responsibility for promoting a Fox News analyst’s baseless claim that British intelligence agency GCHQ spied on Trump for former President Barack Obama.

In a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a German reporter asked Trump about the Fox analyst’s claim, which has been denied by GCHQ.

“We said nothing. All we did was quote a certain, very talented legal mind who was the one responsible for saying that on television,” Trump responded. “I didn’t make an opinion on it. That was a statement made by a very talented lawyer on Fox. And so you shouldn’t be talking to me. You should be talking to Fox. Okay?”

Really! This president is the biggest embarrassment in history. I sure hope there’s someone prepping to unseat him.

You know, that’s not a bad idea. Trump is already holding campaign rallies. It would be great to have a slate of Dem Presidential candidates also holding events and raising money starting now. Massive arena rallies and millions of grass-roots donations would be potent focus for resistance to Trump.

Trump’s “super power” is that he can generate fresh controversy and scandal at will, much like the other Republicans he has yet to be held accountable. But notice the media is coming close to using the L word for Trump, just like Nixon they grow bolder until one of them will actually say it: Trump is a liar and a sad excuse even at that.

Puck, I agree. Dems are too constrained by their sense of decorum, but if someone from the Bernie Sanders wing started running, he or she could walk away from it.
