Republicans Hate People Voting

Filed in Delaware by on March 10, 2017

Two bills have been introduced to change absentee voting in Delaware. But Delaware Republicans will most likely stand in the way because the oligarchy hates it when people vote.

Representative Earl Jaques (D -Glasgow) wants to remove language in the state constitution that requires voters show a valid excuse for obtaining an absentee ballot.

And that’s going to be an uphill battle.

Since its a constitution change, he needs approval from three-fifths of the General Assembly in two consecutive two-year sessions, which means he needs Republican votes.

And that could be a tall order. Republicans blocked Jaques’ last attempt to do the same thing in 2015, saying it would increase voter fraud.

A separate bill in the legislature would remove the requirement that a vote-by-mail affidavit be notarized.

Which political party runs Delaware again?

It doesn’t refer to political parties, genius. As of March 1, there are 697,769 registered Democrats in Delaware. You can join them any time you choose, except for a couple of time periods around the elections. If they’ll let you join, they can’t be exclusive.

Indeed, there are far fewer Republicans than Democrats, so I guess that’s the club if it’s exclusivity you’re looking for.

Perhaps you’ve never noticed — you’re stupid that way — but most of the criticism on this blog is aimed at Democrats. If you’re looking for something to beat, why not go back to your meat?

When you’re gone for days at a time, is it to get your Stupidity Certificate time-stamped?

The really funny thing about this is the notion that some Republican could get close enough to being elected that the Democrats would have to resort to voter fraud to win.

…..in the Delaware oligarchy, right? Arrogant fool.

  5. fightingbluehen says:

Comparing the Republican Party in the State of Delaware to an “oligarchy”, is a ridiculous notion, isn’t it, Alby?

It all depends on the funding sources, doesn’t it? You have access to that information?

I don’t understand why fucknuggets like you bother visiting a site you don’t like. Why don’t you go play with Don Ayotte?

If you check the records over the last couple of elections you would see that republicans receive more absentee votes than democrats. But your right, it will take 3 republican votes for the constitutional change to pass. I just don’t understand their objections!!
