Flynn Reaction From Within Alt-Right Media Bubble

Filed in National by on February 14, 2017

While the reality-based world has come to the conclusion that Flynn was working for Russia before, during, and after the inauguration of Donald Trump, Fox News has a different take. In the up is down world of American conservatism, this is not a case of a traitor being exposed, but an example of “the permanent government” taking a stab at our dear leader by ginning up a case against Flynn.

While Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway was getting aggressively questioned by multiple news outlets on the Michael Flynn scandal on Tuesday, she got a bit of relief when she went on Fox News’s morning program Fox & Friends.

Instead of asking Conway to justify President Donald Trump’s decision to continue employing Gen. Flynn as his national security adviser despite being warned by the Justice Department that he may have been compromised by Russian spies, the Fox & Friends crew instead asked Conway to talk about the disturbing number of leaks from within the government that were seemingly crafted to undermine Flynn.

“There are a number of major U.S. papers that apparently got the leaks from the intel community that said, ‘Hey look, we’ve got the transcripts of what Mr. Flynn said on the phone to the Russian ambassador and it looks kind of shady,” pointed out Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy. “Just the fact that there are these leaks inside the permanent government is troubling.”

Conway replied that she was grateful to Doocy for bringing up this particular angle.

“Well, you may be the only outlet talking about that this morning,” she replied. “So thank you for shining a light there.”

  1. RE Vanella says:

It would have been better for Flynn to have not been caught. That is true. That’s more of a universal truth though.

  2. mediawatch says:

So, on Sunday, Miller stopped just short of saying Trump’s next step is to abolish the entire federal judiciary.
And this morning Conway blames Flynn’s problems on leaks within the civil service. Give her a little more time, and she’ll suggest getting rid of them too.

  3. Jason330 says:

I don’t think it is going to take a long time for Team SCROTUS to suggest that.

  4. Alby says:

The nice thing about all this is that once we’re back in power, we can hang them all as traitors.

  5. Christopher says:

“….we can hang them all as traitors.”

    The most unlikely scenario.

The Trump FBI is sitting on stuff that you don’t know about. You should be careful with that word.

One minor victory and you people are crazed for blood because you think you’ve won the war.

  6. bamboozer says:

“One minor victory and you people are crazed for blood because you think you’ve won the war.”

Pay more attention, this is the M.O. of the Republican party and their dream of a 25 year fourth reich. Predict the Trump White House will die of a thousand cuts, these are a few with a great many more coming. As for fear of the FBI suggest that belongs with the Trump and his gang, ample grounds for impeachment already exist.

  7. Ben says:

We got a tough guy here…..
minor victory – yet another embarrassing loss for Mr “I have the best people”.
Just admit it, snowflake. You got duped by a Russian puppet. Putin made the biggest mistake by going with someone as insane as Dampnut. I think he still get’s to take Europe, so Putin wins no matter what. It’s you Teabags who have to forever be remembered as the people who allowed this shit to happen.
We should have dealt with you people after the War of Southern Treason, but pansy-Dems (see a trend here?) wanted to “heal the nation”. They wont get that much say this time around.

  8. RE Vanella says:

Huge tell right there. Did you catch it? “The Trump FBI”

I don’t care what secrets you belief his Gestapo has. (Of course you have no fucking idea. You just say stuff you read on the internet like it’s a stone cold fact. It isn’t.) We are not afraid of you. Absolutely are not.

  9. Alby says:

“You should be careful with that word.”

Why, are you going to spy on me now? Get lost, you little shit stain.

  10. jason330 says:

You’d think catching a Russian spy in the highest reaches of government would be regarded as a “victory” for America.

  11. “And this morning Conway blames Flynn’s problems on leaks within the civil service. Give her a little more time, and she’ll suggest getting rid of them too.”

That focus on leaks as “the big story the press should be writing about” was raised at the Trump press briefing just now – nice deflection.

  12. john kowalko says:

Note the irony in the fact that “shining the light” is being credited to FOX News (sic), the very same cockroaches who scatter when the lights are turned on. Any network or interviewer who schedules that goofball Miller (after his rant filled, on-air ramblings) should be investigated by the FCC for poisoning the American senses. Conway should also be limited to her master’s twitter feed.

  13. Stat says:

Right special K. Keep watching the network that gave Al Sharpton a show and that guy Maddow a prime time slot.

  14. john kowalko says:

    Stat
Right, and you keep watching Hannity and Douche and the other “alternative fact” purveyors and fiction spewing defenders of the highest-level of incompetency in America’s history. Good luck trying to identify when you are actually awake or merely dreaming of your home-grown dictatorship amid the sounds of insects scurrying to hidden places to store the truth.

    Representative John Kowalko

  15. Disappointed says:

“Well, you may be the only outlet talking about that this morning,” she replied. “So thank you for shining a light there.”

I think she thought she was talking to her gynecologist.

  16. Alby says:

Is “stat” an ironic nickname? Because you seem a little slow.

  17. RE Vanella says:

Empty rhetoric. This Stat character (if that’s his real name) is like an idiot-bot. Rep JK makes a direct critisism of a Fox narrative that’s clearly a big streaming load. Refences a thing that happened. And this fucking rube basically replies with, “well, MSNBC!”

Strong argument. You really trolled us.

Stat and the entire Stat clan should be embarrassed.

  18. john kowalko says:

    Today’s headline:
“France Will Build a Glass Wall Around the Eiffel Tower”

Will Spain have to pay for it??

    John K.

  19. Tom Kline says:

John – Stay focused on what getting cut out of the budget…

  20. Alby says:

@Tom: He’s not on the Joint Finance Committee, so he has no say in what’s cut out of the budget. Duh.

“Shut up” is not an argument.

  21. john kowalko says:

    Tom Kline
Stay focused on trying to create your first and only original thought. Do not get discouraged since you’ll probably achieve that goal before those million typing monkeys complete their novel.

    Representative John Kowalko

  22. mouse says:

    Nah ha lol

  23. Stat says:

That’s true Alby. He was purged from any significant committee appointments by his own. A lot of bark but no teeth.

  24. RE Vanella says:

What Kowalko does have is courage of his convictions. Like public service, and also using his own name.

You on the hand are an embarrassing coward. Neither bark nor bite. You’re a nothing.

  25. Alby says:

@Stat: He was never on the JFC.

You, on the other hand, have never been on anything, right? So who’s the loser?
