What have you done to resist Trump today? Call Cowardly Coons Edition

Filed in National by on January 31, 2017 8 Comments

If you haven’t called Coons and demanded that he show some spine, do so now. An irate call telling him to withhold consent and slow down this lawlessness White House is mandatory.

Coons Wilmington: (302) 573-6345

You: There’s no reason that the Senate should be conducting business as usual when Trump is blatantly violating the Constitutiuon. I expect Senator Coons to act to uphold our values by committing to withhold consent on Senate business and use the filibuster to stop other legislation and Supreamcourt nominations.

What Fresh Hell is This? for Jan 31st 2017

The Trump administration ratcheted up the bully-boy tactics Monday night, firing the country’s acting attorney general for her “betrayal” – telling government attorneys not to defend the executive order banning travel from seven Muslim countries – and telling the 100 diplomats who released an official dissent memo that if they don’t like working under Trump they can quit.

Chris Coons–Maybe Worse Than Carper

Do you all have your phones handy?  Today would be a very good day to flood Sen. Chris Coons’ office with irate phone calls. Why? Here’s why: Sen. Chris Coons, D-Delaware, a member of the Judiciary Committee told CNN he is still seething over the Republicans’ decision to block Judge Merrick Garland from filling the […]

Is Immigration Personal?

Is Immigration Personal?

It turns out immigration in the United States is personal. If you have consistent personal contact with immigrants regardless of their origin, chances are you are against President Marmalade’s recent executive. If you hang out in a coffee shop off of any highway in Delaware, chances are you only have limited experience with recent immigrants. And, yet, somehow, you remain blissfully ignorant.

Top Five Reasons Carney is on pace to attract a primary challenge

Unlike Tom Carper, I can see John Carney attracting a primary challenger.

1) He is not well liked. Even within the party, he is viewed as a “Ruth Ann Minner: Part Duh” (c) 2017.

A Guest Post from Alby Damned Welcome to the Protest Presidency of Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, proprietor. It’s becoming obvious, at the start of the second week of the Trump Interregnum, that it’s Steve Bannon with his hands on the marionette’s strings. Dozens of pundits, including Digby, have come to that conclusion: http://www.salon.com/2017/01/30/trumps-rasputin-seizes-the-moment-a-week-of-chaos-may-suit-steve-bannons-master-plan/ Trump’s Muslim […]

Marino wants Hansen To Apologize for BlueDelaware.com write up

This is an absurd, but the fairly typical example of GOP snowflaking. It worked against Clinton when GOP strategists pretended that Clinton called ALL Republicans deplorable, and it could work here if Hansen allows it to work. She needs to hit back hard at this.

Thank you Senator Carper, now keep building on it by withholding consent

Thank you Senator Carper, now keep building on it by withholding consent

Senator Carper deserves credit for going to the protest in Philly and making the remarks he did. Just go to Ken Grant’s FB page and take 4 minutes to watch Carper and Lisa Blunt Rochester looking, acting and sounding like actual Americans and Democrats.

I don’t know how much he was motivated by pressure from constituents, and how much he was motivated by his own sense of right and wrong, and to be honest it doesn’t really matter. He took a step out of the “bipartisanship Ubber Alles” fantasy world that he lives in and stepped foot into the real world of Trump’s America. Now he has to keep it going by joining with Democrats to withhold consent.
