  1. How the BLEEP did you get that up so quickly. Just got the e-mail from Chris Carl, went to post a piece, and, well, there you are.

You, sir, move with both dispatch and alacrity.

  2. Jason330 says:

    Lucky timing.

  3. That suggests to me that the D’s are feeling at least reasonably optimistic about this race.

If they felt that they were substantially behind, they likely would have gone with a later date.

Having said that, I might have opted for a later date, if only to maximize the political value of the daily Trump horror show.

After all, the General Assembly doesn’t go back into session until around St. Paddy’s Day.

    BTW, here’s the story:

  4. Tom Kline says:

We have 350 million reasons not to vote D this time. What an absolute mess we created over the last 40 years.

  5. liberalgeek says:

Yep, ever since Reagan. Good point Tom-bot!

  6. Rufus Y. Kneedog says:

All due respect El Som, but I think they are rushing this to get it done before the GA has to get down to brass tacks on the budget deficit. Plugging a $350 million deficit is not going to make anyone happy and Marino’s campaign ads will write themselves.

  7. Don’t think so, Rufus. They’re not gonna get down to brass tacks before June when they have the final DEFAC figures. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if legislators grandstand on some of the things they WON’T do.

Having said that, I have no inside info on the SD 10 race. All I can infer is that the D’s wanted that date for a reason.

  8. Gerald maynes says:

hey the Dems by all rights should loose this one .Ms Hansen represents the swamp. She married the swamp Fox Chris Roberts and her farther in law also sold his office going to jail. Ms Hanson time on the council was disrupted and she was tied to To investigations into the council and into the Democratic County supervisors investigation and indictment. She is this states version of Hillary Clinton. If only the News Journal still had a few reporters left to get the story out. So far they have only printed a PR release by the Democratic Party.

  9. Ben says:

I see Marino’s paid trolls have found the page. You are not safe, Nazi.

  10. Vickie says:

Just wanted to point out all of these comments fail to acknowledge the libertarian party. The budget is out of control in Delaware. Having a balance senate would force republicans AND democrats to make the tough choices, compromise, & actually serve it’s constituents. I am looking forward to hearing what Mr. Lanzendorfer has to say tonight

  11. Jason330 says:

Why bother? Taxes too high… teachers all lazy slobs who need pay cuts… rich people are being abused because they should be richer. We’ve heard it all ad nauseum. Although.. Maybe he’ll mention a couple of the regulations he thinks are killing small business? That would be a shock.

  12. RE Vanella says:

Hopefully the omission was intended, Vickie, because as I wrote in my post yesterday if we don’t commit to caring for each other we won’t be around very much longer. Libertarians have that bit the wrong way round unfortunately. From what I understand the Libertarian believes that if we are all given free reign to care for only ourselves it’ll all work out. It won’t.
