I hate being right all the time.

From Today’s Open Thread:

“Trump’s wins among late-deciders account for his margins of victory in FL, MI, PA and WI. He loses w/out them.”

From Me on March 16, 2016 the day Clinton Clinched the Dem nomination:

Stop it with this crap. Just stop it.

“Politico says the odds of a contested convention for the GOP just went way up: “The impact of Rubio’s exit — and Kasich’s sudden rise — creates a mess…”

No. Wrong. Just stop it.

Trump won. He’ll be nominated on the first or second ballot. The GOP “establishment” (and “movement conservatives” who claim that Trump is some kind of affront to their pristine values) will come down with a huge case of amnesia, Republicans will vote for him. All of them.

The race is now 45% for Trump and 45% for Clinton. The 10% aren’t “in the middle” (as Chris Matthews would have you think). The 10% are dumbasses who will sway in the wind and come election day they’ll vote for the person that they think is the eventual “winner”

Democrats are enslaved to the utter nonsense that voters weigh out issues and make decisions based on some rational adjudication of competing arguments. They DON’t.

Democrats – Stop listening to John Carney and Chris Matthews. The Republicans are not “valued partners” and “the middle” doesn’t want to work out some kind of compromise with them. The late deciders want to be on the winning side, and that is it. That’s all there is.

Excent that everybody thought Hillary was going to win, even on Tuesday morning. The late deciders pushed Trump into the winner’s circle.

Poor chap. You still think Chris Matthews and Nate Silver speak for everybody.

Carney will be facing either 10 or 11 Republicans in the State Senate. He will have to cut spending and cut some deals. That’s a reality. Plus the state is 300 million in the hole. Markell did him no favors. Here comes gas tax increase, income tax increase, corp tax hikes….ouch!!!!

  5. Jason330 says:

No shit. Cutting deals is politics 101. You get something and you give something. Dems like Carney, all they do is give. Please keep up.

  6. nemski says:

    Jason330 that’s how Dems compromise.

I disagree with your winning side hypothesis, but your post was on the right track. The Republicans “came home” and the Democrats “stayed home” because they weren’t fired up. That’s at least part of the story. There are many layers, but I don’t think one of them is trying to vote for a winner when Trump was running behind most of the year.
