It’s official – Charlie Copeland is a piece of shit

Filed in Delaware by on November 1, 2016

I have wrestled with what to think about Charlie Copeland. Some people that I like and respect say he is a decent guy in a tough spot, just trying to do his best. He comes from a decent philanthropic family, and his own father was instrumental in establishing Planned Parenthood in Delaware. And then I get this is my mailbox, and it reveals the truth about what kind of person Charlie Copeland really is.

DEGOP Calls On Carney/Blunt-Rochester To Withdraw For Clinton
Newark, DE – The Chairman of the Delaware Republican Party Charlie Copeland today called on Democrats John Carney and Lisa Blunt-Rochester to withdraw their endorsements of Hillary Clinton, citing continuing controversy over the use of her personal email server. It was revealed Friday that thousands of new emails, some potentially classified, were discovered on a computer owned by longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin and not previously disclosed to federal investigators

“This situation highlights one indisputable fact: Hillary Clinton jeopardized classified information in her reckless attempt to hide pay-to-play corruption at her State Department. This alone should be disqualifying for anyone seeking the presidency, and it is time for John Carney and Lisa Blunt-Rochester to stand up and do the right thing by withdrawing their endorsements,” said Copeland.

On Friday, FBI Director James Comey informed Congress that the agency had uncovered a treasure trove of emails related to the Clinton investigation on a computer owned by Abedin and used by her husband, disgraced former Democratic Congressman Anthony Wiener. Clinton had previously told FBI investigators that she had turned over all emails related to the investigation. Weiner is currently under federal investigation for “sexting” a 15 year-old girl.

“Hillary Clinton has shown an alarming disregard for federal law and the security of our nation,” Copeland said. “Hillary Clinton established a private email server in her basement, hid its installation, intentionally used it to circumvent the protocols and protections built into the federal government’s communication system, and then used it to discuss some of our country’s most sensitive information. When federal investigators caught wind of the breach, Hillary repeatedly lied to cover-up her misdeeds. Had this been any other government official, it is no exaggeration to say he or she would be facing criminal charges and possible jail time.

“Had a Republican official been guilty of Hillary’s indefensible actions, John Carney and Lisa Blunt-Rochester would, no doubt, be calling for action. Their continued to silence will only serve to confirm that they place their partisan political relationships ahead of the welfare of the citizens they want to represent and the laws of our state and nation.”

He’s a guy struggling to stay relevant and lead a party that no longer is, on either the state, or national level.

  2. Jason330 says:

That he uncritically takes the entire “alt-right” argument on this bullshit is, for me, a final straw. He is not supporting Trump out of some obligation to the troops. He is because he likes him as a candidate for the Presidency.

Donald Trump is facing a fraud trial starting November 28th relating to Trump University.

Donald Trump (along with Jeffrey Epstein) is facing a lawsuit alleging child rape.

Copeland needs to explain how it is he is supporting a man who is going to be in court for awhile for fraud, sexual assault and rape for President of the United States.

  4. Jason330 says:

The explanation is that there is no GOP “civil war” there are no “sane” or moderate Republicans. There are only Trump Republicans and that’s it. He offers no explanation because it is clear cut.

British actor Hugh Laurie appeared on a talk show last week (Colbert, I think) and was asked about the election, and after talking about Trump, Colbert asked what he thought of Hillary.

“I feel like I’ve come into the movie late,” Laurie said (paraphrasing here, but not by much). “I missed the first reel, when she burned down the orphanage.” Only such a heinous act could explain the visceral hatred she engenders among traditionalists/conservatives.

Throughout this election, in talking to the people once considered “reasonable” or “moderate” Republicans, I have been struck by the fact that they are appalled by Trump, but when you ask about Hillary, it’s like somebody mentioned Satan.

The one thing this election has taught me, above all other lessons, is that propaganda works very effectively on the American people.

What explains the rise of Trump? Simple. Roughly half of the country is hooked on the shit Disney peddles — that if you wish upon a star your dreams will come true. That reason matters less than wishing for something hard enough — clap so Tink will live! That next quarter in the slot machine could make you a millionaire! We are a nation of sheep, and the dumbest sheep in the fold are heavily armed.

That’s the kinda shit that gives a grown-ass man like myself nightmares!

Imagine what this election would look like if Bernie was the candidate.

Instead we are left with this race.

    Lol… @ Jason…

I swear you run that same headline 4 times a year… And that is going back 10 years now..

But my favorite POS story was when he was on the streets of Wilmington handing out pamphlets saying: vote for Obama, Markell, and Copeland.. after all he did to get Lee to run…

    Lol. lol. lol.

Excuse me, this guys father pissed away the largest personal fortune in the history of the united states back in the 60s, embarrassed his old man into quitting his job and basically showed the judgement of a nine year old by getting scammed out of so much money it would take the entire earnings of everyone posting on this board to come even close to making up for it and we are actually expecting him make a rational decision? This is the moron branch of a really stupid family. I mean really stupid. This is the branch of the family that has to inherit a whole lot of money because people just walk up and take it out of their hands. These are the un-bright folks with huge trust funds that pay off their mistakes. We do not let them make decisions. Or give us advice. Charlie is a sweet guy. But he wouldn’t know an email server from a dehumidifier. He’s rich because his grandfather bailed out his old man when he lost all his money. But if he’s as dumb as his old man, don’t listen to any of his advice.

Has anyone seen or heard anything from Ken Simpler? Maybe we should put out a gold alert or something? He’s been noticeably quiet on the campaign trail, figured he’d be helping their statewide candidates after winning himself statewide 2 years ago, or even helping out the new kids they’ve got running in the Senate. Last I recall seeing or hearing about him was when he was on the initial list to be a delegate to the RNC, but that changed at some point in the weeks before it started . Simpler must be eyeing a higher office, we should absolutely get to know if he’s riding shotgun in the passanger seat on the Trump train that Copeland is driving?
