If You Thought Trump Couldn’t Be More Disgusting – You’d Be Wrong

Filed in National by on October 7, 2016

Even more distressing than his words below is his sense of entitlement to women’s bodies without their consent.

Trump mentions an attempt to seduce a woman who was not named in the conversation, saying that he “moved on her” and failed.

He goes on to describe his seduction technique, which apparently involved furniture shopping and did not succeed.

“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married,” Trump tells Bush. “Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.”

When the conversation turns to the looks of Arianne Zucker, the “Days of Our Lives” actress waiting for them on the set, Trump said, “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”

“And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything,” he later adds. “Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”

And Josh Marshall reminds us:

This is a good moment to remember: long before the 2016 election cycle got under way one woman, his estranged wife, had accused Trump under oath of raping her and another had accused him, again under oath, of sexual assault and attempted rape.

Sounds about right.

No words. The only two pithy responses I have are: 1) In the end, it was a Bush bringing down Trump after all. Billy Bush! and 2) So, who knew that Days of our lives would play a pivotal role in the Presidential election?

I expect that more is coming… to be dribbled out over the next three weeks to do maximal damage. Someone has done their October surprise research.

There’s still the pending lawsuit filed by a woman who claims he raped her when she was 13 years old.

Is that case believable yet? And if not, will it become so?

  3. The thought occurred to me a few days ago that the Republicans had nominated perhaps the worst human being (if human being is the proper term) in America.

I think I can drop the ‘perhaps’. I can’t think of a more disgraceful or disgusting individual in this entire country.

It’s interesting that every major news outlet, this is the lead story.
But on Fox News, they don’t report what he actually said, and the whole story is about how they are doing damage control (and how they are so successful at that)…. and the story is below the line.

In other words, Fox News wants you to believe… nothing to see here… move along.

People who support this man cannot claim any love of country or its citizens. Contempt for Hillary and Democrats is all that they harbor.

This is a baited hook for Trump in Sunday night’s debate. This all but guarantees Trump attacks her for Bill’s philandering, and probably looks like an even bigger asshole doing it.

That’s great, because it’s the one line of attack that actually works to Hillary’s benefit, according to the pollsters, and it will keep any more substantive criticisms from being remembered the next day. We’re 48 hours out from the second debate and they have to tear up their game plan.

And remember, he does all of this stone cold sober.

I may be the exception…. but I think all of this is awesome… Some of you have already known it, but this is exactly what Republicans are and have been at least starting with Newt Gingrich’s takeover in 94… this IS what Mitch McConnell is, this IS what Paul Ryan is, this IS what Ted Cruz is, this IS what Marco Rubio.. is.. This is what Joni Ernst is.. this is what Charlie Copeland is.. This is what Colin Bonini is… This is what Greg Lavelle is… Mike Ramone, can this be true, you are one of them too? Ernie Lopez, are you serious, you are one of them too? Cathy Cloutier… surely, not you? Priscilla? Did your tongues all go numb?

When people don’t condemn acts of maliciousness… it means they ARE malicious themselves… There is no reason ANY of these should be in office after November….

How long before R’s realize they’re on the Titanic and all the lifeboats are gone? And there are more icebergs to come?

I wonder if it matters that Clinton hived of DJT from other R’s. They may go down with him anyway.

  11. Liberal Elite says:

Someone sure knows how to control the news cycle.

Did anyone notice that the Trump tape was released just after a large Wikileaks dump? …changing what was going to be the headline story.

    Genius.

  12. Rufus Y. Kneedog says:

If he gets beaten badly in the next debate, I think he drops out.
It’s worth asking why this is coming out now and not during the R primary where it might have been a game changer. Did his R opponents just not take him seriously enough to do the research?
There is probably worse to come.

  13. pandora says:

I think it didn’t come out in the primary because the R candidates didn’t see it as bad behavior – lots of “boys will be boys” sharing that stage. And while this latest tape is making news, the Miss Universe story was already out there – in Trump’s own flippin’ book. So were his creepy comments about his daughters. So were the rape, attempted rape and sexual assault accusations. None of this mattered one bit to Trump’s primary opponents.

That’s the reason they didn’t go there with all his vile comments towards women. Calling women names like dog, ugly and rating women by whether you’d “do them” is SOP.

  14. He really can’t drop out. I guess he could stop campaigning.

But, with early voting already having started, and ballots having already been printed, there’s no feasible way for this to happen.

Plus, if Trump drops out, the people who are his greatest supporters will stay home. These are the haters that the GOP has cultivated ever since Nixon’s ‘Southern Strategy’. If he stays in, discouraged/disgusted R women and, yes, even some R men, either stay home or cross the aisle. Meaning, the Senate is much more likely to flip and D’s should pick up more congressional seats.

    Either way, they’re screwed.

Nemski, see the new post. The DEGOP put out a statement, but it is wholly inadequate.
