Delaware is a euphemism; an inside joke invented by financiers. Whey they are about to do something underhanded, they look at one another seriously and say “It’s OK – we’re incorporated in Delaware” and then snicker into their sleeves.
It is a legal fiction, at best.
This is the most hilarious and true thing that I have read lately! I love it.
Could be worse, could be Jersey. On the other hand they tend to jail the cooks as opposed to re elect them like here.
