DL Fantasy Football for Normal People

Filed in National by on September 2, 2016

Are looking for a fantasy football league for people like you, who don’t know or care much about football? Your search is over.

Simply pick 6 teams from the list of teams below*, note them in the comments section, put aside $2.00 and you are in. At the end of the regular season the person with the teams that have the best combined win/loss record wins.

Along the way I’ll try to keep everyone posted and maybe concoct some dramatic story lines if that seems even doable.

*If two people pick the same 6 teams, that would be crazy wouldn’t it?

I predict at least two other people will be in this pool with me. Everyone is probably just waiting for someone else to jump in first.

If it’s for normal people, then wouldn’t using the Premier League teams make more sense? That’s football for most people.

  3. Another Mike says:

Steelers, Patriots, Chiefs, Packers, Panthers and Arizona has a football team.

My tiebreaker is Hull City, back in the Premier League after a year of relegation. I’d pick Crystal Palace, but not even both Benteke brothers may be enough to keep them out of the Champions League.

for most people in this country football is football, not soccer, no matter how international you like to think you are. i like to feel international too — at least appreciative of european sophistication (even when i lack it) — but i don’t pretend to like a boring sport to prove it.

  5. Liberal Elite says:

@ea “for most people in this country football is football,…”

I’ve given up watching and following brain-damage ball entirely.
No need to be complicit in that…

“…but i don’t pretend to like a boring sport to prove it.”

That’s all depends. Some may find a sport where all the players stop and rest every 10 seconds, to be somewhat lacking…

so you’re talking politics (morality?), not the quality of action and strategy in the respective sports. and regular breaks between action are better than no breaks with almost no action
