Thank you Bernie Bros! Time to declare victory, and get to work.

Filed in National by on July 29, 2016

Think of all the Democratic Party has gained thanks to those obnoxious motherfuckers who simply would not shut up:

– They battle tested a Clinton campaign that was cruising for a coronation.
– They dragged fair trade onto the Democratic Party’s radar screen.
– They forced Clinton to the table on the issue of college debt.
– They got the most liberal Democratic Party platform since FDR.
– They made progressives FULL PARTNERS in the Democratic coalition, and
– On and on….

We got so much. So it is time to declare victory and get to work election Democrats to the Senate, House, State Houses, school boards, neighborhood associations, and knitting clubs. It is time to consolidate the gains and lock them in with the dull, drudgery that is the real work of democracy.

  1. Delaware Dem says:

The vast majority of Bernie Bros are good, conscientious progressives.

Those that continued to heckle Hillary in the hall last night, who laughably tried to perform a citizen’s arrest of her (seriously, that kind of shit is why the far far left is so ineffective), are not progressives. They are not Democrats. They have never voted Democratic before. They voted for Nader … in 2008! They are disruptors, the kind of people who just want to watch the world burn. Do not judge the Bernie supporter by them.

I like Bernie but I am all in for the D ticket in the fall. As a country we need to crush this “Trump” movement and show the world we are still the beacon of hope.

  3. Jenr says:

I think the relaxed Hillary Clinton sitting at the table discussing her life, etc in her introductory video is someone people can really grow to like. I hope they are able to capture the essence of that Hillary in this campaign vs the forced politician. She was very effective in that relaxed conversational setting.

Can a woman be a Bernie Bro?

  5. kavips says:

Well Puck, In the 60’s it was women who Burn’d de Bra… (just slight change of phonetics..)

  6. kavips says:

I’ll be looking to see if we can get North Carolina back in the blue. Enough Hispanics didn’t vote last time, and the Reds have since run that state into the ground… After last night Hillary just gave all red state’s blues enough cover to run as blues and possibly win.

  7. mouse says:

Damn, now I might have to vote for her

  8. Dana Garrett says:

On Facebook I still see Hillary supporters posting smears about Bernie even after she has won the nomination. I suspect that these people secretly resent that Bernie forced Hillary from a moderate position to a progressive one, proving that many Hillary supporters are not and may have never been progressives.
