  1. Jason330 says:

Sarah mcbride will be the Governor of Delaware.

  2. puck says:

I liked the gravitas of Captain Kristen Kavanaugh. I wonder if we will hear more from her in the future.

  3. cassandra_m says:

I think Biden and Warren are going to be an excellent tag team assaulting the ego of the donald for the next few months.

  4. Liberal Elite says:

Kaine is bombing. This is a horrible speech.

  5. ex-anonymous says:

biden was on fire. good for him. bloomberg said important things about independents and trump. just started watching kaine. a little odd, but appealing. these observations are not deep, but what the hell. seems like a good night for the dems, with the great obama (not said ironically) still to come.

  6. ex-anonymous says:

kaine has expressive eyebrows. still odd, but effective. i like him. will america?

  7. Jason330 says:

Brilliant speech from the best President in my lifetime.

  8. Jason330 says:

“That’s why anyone who threatens our values, whether fascists or communists or jihadists or homegrown demagogues, will always fail in the end.”

  9. puck says:

Like Bush before him, Trump would like us to forget that the Presidential oath is not to defend the country, but to defend the Constitution.

  10. Dave says:

I normally am detached and clinical when it comes to politics. Even my optimism is a consequence of analysis and data. It was very difficult to maintain that unemotional, clinical detachment in the face of the speeches from Biden and then Obama. Even conservatives couldn’t help favorably commenting: http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2016/07/28/obama_s_dnc_speech_praised_by_conservatives.html

Almost makes me want to become a Democrat!

  11. pandora says:

I love these guys so much. They make our country proud.

@Dave If you live in Delaware you should consider registering as a Dem – in many cases, the primary is the actual election.

  12. puck says:

The emotion is intoxicating in every sense of the word.

  13. Dave says:

    @Pandora,

I probably would, but then you get all the spam email and snail mail.

I thought everyone knew, I live in Sussex County (14th Rep District). I do donate to the appropriate candidates though. Besides, I’m not progressive and may not even be liberal and I certainly couldn’t pass the purity tests.

I forgot to add earlier – I sure hope Biden doesn’t fade from public view. I hope there is a role for him to play that keeps him in the public eye. We need a Joe to remind us of our humanity.

  14. puck says:

“Besides, I’m not progressive and may not even be liberal and I certainly couldn’t pass the purity tests.”

And therefore, a typical Sussex Democrat.

  15. Dave says:

“And therefore a typical Sussex Democrat” who contributes and votes. But thanks for confirming that I couldn’t meet your definition of who is a Democrat oh thou supreme keeper of the purity scroll.
