Fmr. State Rep. John Atkins Arrested Again
WGMD News is reporting that former State Rep. John Atkins (R then D for the 41st District) was arrested by Delaware State Police on Friday night for offensive touching and criminal mischief.
Police tell WGMD the 38 year-old female victim (Atkins’ ex-girlfriend) had given Atkins permission to remove his property from her residence on Evelynton Road in Lewes, but when she returned home and discovered he had taken other items as well, an arugment ensued. The woman got into Atkins’ vehicle and began striking his property in an attempt to damage it, and Atkins then pushed her against her own vehicle. He damaged her vehicle by kicking it before driving away. He later reported to Troop 7 in Lewes where he was charged and later released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
I would say this should finally end his political career, but given his history, it won’t.

You really listen to that show? I mean, it’s unlistenable. Although…it might be fun to call in when Atkins is on.
I had it on for two seconds twice and she mentioned his call both times before my hand could fly to change the station. So I figured he is a regular.
Her show is terrible. Totally superficial. What was WDEL thinking when they replaced Mascitti? It was irrational.
Yes, her show is a disaster. Recent topics have included: her trip to Philadelphia Flower show, what annoys you when you are on the beach (beach etiquette), what does your neighbor do that annoys you, etc. Mostly focused on Sussex since that is what she knows. No sense of New Castle county or Wilmington AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!
Now you know why Atkins spent so much time at SCI. He wants good treatment there when he does his time.
I was stunned when I first heard her show. Truly impossible to listen to it.
She doesn’t know anything about Sussex either, she’s from New Jersey. It’s actually pretty amazing that a woman her age knows so little about anything at all.
